Hello,
I am a wanderer hence my name but was born in Trinidad. I recently went to tobago on holiday and back at home in The Netherlands, while feeling a bit nostalgic came accross this site. I decided to register after seeing the post about JD. I sent some years of my youth there.
i hope to find people I once knew!

greetings

Hi Jenny,

Yes I do ! I did Home Economics there in'78-'79 there abouts! It's so long ago I can't remember, blame it on dementia!

The weather is al right at the moment although it's clouded today. Whereabouts are you going to be in The Netherlands?

We're in a hotel just outside the capital and will do road trips to places like Volendam, Eidenhoven, Rotterdam etc.

Is it easy for a foreigner to drive around? I know the cycling would be wonderful though.

Sure! the roads are great and nearly everyone speaks or understands English. A few months ago I even met a man from Trinidad who was making use of the public transport somewhere in the countyside. This man could not stop talking about how easy it was to get around here!
I hope you enjoy your stay.

Hi Jenny,

I can't seem to get this IM to work for me so I decided to try posting a reply here in the forum.
They have been predicting sunshine and a temperature of +/- 30 Celsius for the coming periode but I'll still pack my raincoat if I were you!
Hope you enjoy your stay,

hi sapodilla,

Glad to know that there is someone from Trinidad hanging around here somewhere. I believe in coincidences so maybe I'll meet your buddy somewhere sometime!

Thanks for joining the welcome wagon,
