The time has come for Panday and Ramesh to account to the hundreds of thousands of UNC supporters and the country for the failure and colapse of the last UNC govt after only one year in office. They must tell us why they could not solve their internal power struggle which resulted in the collapse of the govt and the handing power to the PNM on a silver platter literally. They both must account for their betrayal of the trust that we gave them before they dare to ask for our votes again. They are both truly shameless.
UNC supporters must not allow these two judases to treat us like their herd of sheep.
We must demand an accounting from them now.

Maybe .
But I am doing all within my means to campaign for the COP .Given the choices we have , I believe they are the best party to represent the interest of the people .
Getting back on point :
What transpired between RLM and Manning ?
Why did Panday try to force Carlos John down his supporters throats ?

Is Bas until ah dead !

Many blind COP supporters do not want to see that Dookeran embracing Sudama on the platform. A man who transpired with Ramesh to bring down the government. Sadiq was also with them in their plot, though he pull out at the 11th hour.

But now Sudama and Sadiq there in the thick with COP but that OK.

Did somebody somewhere else say something about COP hypocrisy?

I believe it was RLM who influenced Sudama and Maraj to leave the UNC .Given what was going in the UNC (and is still going on today ), Trevor took the high road .I supported that .
Baksh on the hand probably had the hindsight to see that RLM was only pushing his personal agenda .Not corruption as he stated at the time .

But again..
Why panday tried to push Carlos John down the throat of his supporters ?
and
what transpired between RLM and Manning

I want to know what Ramesh cooked up with Manning in 2000.

... and what about Team Unity ? Was that a deliberate ploy to split the UNC votes and deliver more seats to PNM ?

sammy,

Let us have some accounting from the real enemies of the republic, Manning and the PNM, before we go afterthe small fry. Using your words, let's "demand an accounting from them now", the folks who are responsible for the mismanagement of the nation's funds. Let's "demand an accounting" for the nepotism displayed by the Prime Minister. Let's "demand an accounting" for the huge increase in the murder rate and for crime in general. Let's "demand an accounting" for the $148 million spent on a palace for Patrick, Hazel, Brian and the other son who looks like Arnold from Different Strokes. Why this lavish and dictator-like lifestyle, when the sh!tty Sando Hospital grows even sh!ttier by the second?

You believe? That is what guides your political acumen? Belief?

Belief is blind faith in what you hear somewhere with no evidence.

When you get the facts maybe you can come back and debate with facts.

So much for being nice to you ..
I KNOW that RLM influenced Suadama and Maraj to leave the UNC
But let RLM explain that to the electorate , let him explain what transpired with him and Manning after he left the UNC .
Let Panday explain to his supporters why he tried to force Carlos John down there throats !

Look in the mirror , you will see what is blind support !

Because they don't really care about the country. Their hatred for certain people is like a cataract blinding their long term vision. They just waiting for 2012 when they hoping to grow a bit bigger, and when they lose then to go onto 2017 and then 2022.........

Ha ha .. you know all of a sudden.
It don't matter who influence who. In a court all accompices would be guilty. So hugging up one accomplice on your platform is OK, having one organising your election campaign is fine but because one join the UNCA that one must be condemned.

Folks,
Myself, a foundation member of the UNC and the ULF before it ,and hundreds of thousands of people voted a govt into power, that govt failed after only one year in office. The main players in the failure of that govt was the Prime Minister, one Basdeo Panday and the Attorney General one Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj.
Both gentlemen are before us once again seeking our votes to form a govt.
Why should we vote for them again without explanations as to what caused the failure and what they propose to do to assure usthat the same thing will not happen again. We were betrayed, our trust and confidence was abused , we were made to hang our heads in embarrasment and shame.
Why should we not demand an explanation?
We are fully aware of the evils being perpetrated on the country By Manning and the PNM, but we MUST put our house in order first. We are not a flock of sheep to be used and abused at the whims and fancies of Panday and Ramesh who destrroyed our govt without one word of consultation with us.
Ramesh has been allowed back in by Panday after all that he did.
What other sword is Ramesh holding over Panday's head to cause that.
Will that other sword be used by Ramesh again to gain power if the UNC wins?
What will Panday do in that event, will he give up the govt to the PNM again to deny Ramesh of the power he is seeking.
Why should we not ask these two to explain their actions before we vote for them again.

If Ramesh had a sword over Panday's head, there was the election of 2002, don't you think he would have used it then and destroy Panday?

The fact is Ramesh is back in the fold, isn't it possible that he is trying to make amends to the people who felt betrayed?

Ramesh did try, he went to the PNM with the information and Panday still facing the courts today as a result.

Is is not also possible that Ramesh is a power hungry person and just came around to try and regain political office? How is he making amends for betraying the party? Is he going to personally compensate all the crime victims for subjecting them to PNM rule and neglect?

His motives seem pretty self centered at this point.

2. Panday need to explain why he tried to force down Carlos John down the throat of the UNC supporters.

wasn't there evidence that Realtor Oma was took over $200,000 from Carlos to "find property for him in England"?

Spend all your time time and energy sweating the small stuff, while Manning gets a free ride to further destroy our nation. Sounds like you really want the absolute best for our nation!

Peanut,
There is nothing wrong with giving anyone a second chance, but if someone claims to be reformed he has to admit to his wrongdoing and ask for forgiveness.
These two men did not destroy a panchayat they destroyed the govt of a country.
We who elected thatgovt were betrayed and shamed we faced the jeers of the PNM crowd "All Indian is teef" they said.
To this day they have not explained why they destroyed our govt
I am a UNC supporter but I am neither a sycophant nor a sheep.
Panday and Ramesh had the opportunity to right all the wrongs that the PNM did, but in their personal power struggle they are the ones who did not care that the PNM is mashing up the country, all they cared about was their own ego and not about the people who voted for them. So dont tell me about not caring that PNM is mashing up the country, that is why we put that UNC govt that was destroyed into office.
Will they explain and ask for forgiveness, not Panday, not Ramesh, them two Brahmin never wrong, it is beneath their dignity, it would be a deathly blow to their egos. They do not deserve another chance.

Parsifal

PNM building up the country! Not mashing it up.

We will leave that for the likes of Johnny O, Francis P, Ish G, Brian KT and Steve F....these guys and their friends are the real enemy of the state. That is why I was so pissed off when I saw Brian KT in Woodford Square at the Real Red event hugging up all of the COP hierarchy.

Remember when Manning got rid of him and everyone got vex? Well he became UNC and look what happened next.

Patrick Manning may have his faults but corruption while in office is one thing he does not seem to countenance and he never should.....as should none of us. If he did then Frankie K would still be there and so would Eric W......and that is something that Basdeo P just would not have done and that is what lead to his downfall.

He forgot the first rule of politics....there is no such thing as friendship or loyalty.
