Yes the program is free, imagine calling anywhere in the world online and communicating with anyone at any time.

Actually you can buy time on it to be able to call any phone, land line or cell, it is called Skypout. e.g last year there was a special on for cdn$15.95 where you can call unlimited any phone in Canada or the US. I use this extensively. I also have purchased time on it so I can call folks at home it costs about 12cents a minute where as a regular call is about 39cents a minute.
