Should more be done to prevent British companies raping Trinidad?

Only large scale British company I know of operating in T&T is bp - or at least thats the only big company I know to be of British origin.

By an large bp is a very healthy contributor to our economy with very good employment packages (even the people who got laid off got some VERY decent VSEPs I understand, and most are easily employable) and a lot of involvement in social activities and ventures. They are what I see as one of the few really good corporate citizens.

So unless I have missed something or there are other big British companies in operation, please enlighten me...

BG, Crrilion and many others. I have absolutely nothing against white people at this very moment. But you see bush Indians, they can walk into a drain and can be assured that I'll come over and spit on them.

I forgot BG. Still, they are much in the same boat as BP. Wasn't aware the other was British, but never heard any ill of them before.

So now tell me. Where are you going with this? You start a thread complaining about British companies raping Trinidad, and now you say you have nothing against "white people", only "bush indian"...a statement that really doesn't connect to the initial premise of the thread, and also borderlines on racism.

Am I the only one seeing how ridiculous this whole thing is getting?

Please, blit105, be careful with what you are saying and how you are saying it.

I believe the rum shop is getting Wi Fi these days...

Companies like BG and BP are a necessary evil , we don't have the funds and technical expertise to extract our own reserves of oil/gas as efficiently as they can.

In the future we will have to use expensive technology to drill much deeper and in harder to reach areas to tap oil , as reserves start to run out , BG and BP will be crucial then.
