The new camera user..

I almost got into an accident three times already since getting my camera a couple days ago. Thing is, allova sudden I see the world differently. That happen to u guys? I mean, there are gorgeous shots to be made! And u start to notice details - like shadows and juxtapositions etc.

I saw a rasta man wearing a gruffy jersey with a PNM logo on the back sitting on a pavement, and next to him, also sitting, was a toddler, couldnt be more than 3 years old and the back of his jersey, similarly gruffy, says 'We are the Future'. And they were just there, sitting at the side of the road liming.

I mean, that would have been such a fantastic shot! I forgot I was on the road and so busy macdcoing and reaching for meh camera ah nearly hit the car in front of me. I had to forego the pic.

Something like that I would have passed straight without watching twice.

Then there was an old guy in rags, possibly homeless but with a big grin, with two happy playful puppies following him. Another would-be excellent pic had I not been driving and there was a line of traffic behind me.

So, for all u photographers out there, u guys must live in a gorgeous world!

One evening I was so busy taking pics of the sunset tht I passed my turnoff to go home. :lol:

Because I work outdoors I see many shots tht I can take. The shots I take may not be perfect but I capture wht I see and find look nice which is mostly of trees etc.
Like one of my offices is less than 100ft from the beach/ocean and on some days the water is just spectacular and blue. Not usual for in South eh. :lol:
I always walk with my camera when am going to work.
But last field trip I had the camera fell and spoil. I ordered a new one but am waiting for it to reach :D I make do with using my fone for the while.

I find I'm less enthused about nature pics as I am about ppl pics.
Nature pics are a dime a dozen. Even my sunset shot that looks pretty cool to me is just one of many similar shots that u can get almost anywhere.

I like shots that make a statement. Havent actually taken any of those yet. But saw so many opportunities!

Oho, I took several shots of ppl offloading bagloads of garbage in the garden. Nasty ppl. Ah get the license plate and everything. I stopped that car, come out and make sure dey see me taking dey pics. But dey eh care. Ppl so nasty!!!!! :x :x :evil:

With my good old faithful, dead camera I used to try taking pics of my nails but it was never clear.

Having a digital camera is fun. Beats having to wait to take shots and then take film to develop and spend plenty $$$ on pics tht sometimes didn't come out good. And how else could we have easily taken pics of we toe and hair and nail and thing. :lol:

I have to wait a mth for my camera. :(

I bought the Olympus 1010.
Before I had the Olympus Camedia 390 tht lasted over 5yrs. Now they don't make it anymore I think. :lol: is an antique now.

The other accident ah nearly cause was when ah was trying to get a pic for the 'Guess where' Thread. I was getting vex bec other cars kept getting in the way of the shot...until I remem I was on the road. :oops:

The first time I posted a pic anywhere Online was a shot I took when I newly got my camera and thts when I started the Guess Where thread. :lol:

I'm not a new camera user, but i just got a new camera with interesting features. Today I was flying over the ocean near Manhattan and the view was spectacular. I had my camera in my bag and ting eh, but i didn't want to look like a psycho taking pics in the plane :oops:

I took pics from plane many times already. :D I ent care wht people say.

A sunrise or sunset from up high is lovely.

Sometimes when you take a pic you don't realise how nice it really is until you see it on the computer. And then you think wow it looked like tht? :lol:
