Coincidence? I too am asking myself the same damn question. Here's the senerio. There was a game that ended with a brawl. I am not use to this, police came, I tried to go out the back door, got locked in a small room and started to hyperventilate. A kind lady ( the hostess) came to my assistance, I am greatful for that. However, when I came too, I said some things like I hear and saw what caused the fight. I was precise with what I saw and heard. My words got twisted by some idiot who went back to that nice lady, then it was related to the JACKASS I was with and what is so disappointing is that he did not stand up in my defence. He was there he hear everything I said and yet he did not stand up for me..........I am so disappointed.

Sapodilla, I recommend venting with some choice cuss words just before (or immediately after) some gray goose and cranberry juice. ;)
Seriously though, people in my life have always dissapointed me, I think it's the nature of human beings, and that is why I have come to expect it. Generally, I always expect the worse of people but hope for the best (hope against hope).
Being something of a loner helps me, bec I just say fruck them all, and go on merrily with my life !

i got an D grade in one of my exams, G what a disappointment.
take it in stride, and if you believe that there is a reason that things happen the way they do then i say look to the Lord and lay your disappointments on him....not to sound like ah preachin or anything but life is full of disappointments and look down d road for the good things that has and will continue to happen...

find some way to vent but rum till i die method is not for everyone. Go shove an old lady off the sidewalk into oncoming traffic if need be....but deal with it sensibly. Not all disappointments are bad things...keep that in mind and you shall be able to deal with things better as time goes on.

I've recently found a new and effective way of dealing with disappointment. When things don't go the way I wanted/planned them to, I try and focus on actions/situations/decisions whose outcome has yet to be determined and I still can have an influence on. This method has allowed me to quickly realise that it is now a non issue, so i have to accept the result(s) and move on. If you can say to yourself that I have exhausted all options and did my very best given the situation/conditons, then the result occured becasue of factors that I had no control of in the first place.

, but I shudder at the day when she'll reveal to me, online, that she has found another.
That hurts so bad..Especially when you've loved the person for 3 years, and they end up with ur friend who knew the whole damn history between u and the guy...

I am beginning to realise that the answer are not to be found at the bottom of an alcohol bottle, I wish I had figured that out a couple hundreds of alcohol bottles ago....
