What are the Clues to look for ?

I was once told that a person who genuinely cares about you will remember even the smallest details you tell tell them about yourself, but I realise this is something that can be faked easily.

For a general idea though, look at your mom...nothing beats a mothers care and love.

Lets see:

After the u drop them home dey eh go and sleep...they stay awake and call to make sure you reach home safe.

Instead of encouraging u to spend money that they know u may not have, they encourage u to save and opt for the cheaper dates instead.

but if its before- Sapodilla made a good point, that mother hen analogy and the around you in case yuh need em. also, doin stuff for you. not required of her, but doing it cause she cares and wants to see you happy. not needing praise (but say thanks anyways eh :lol: ) or favors in return. a good sign too is when 90% of her actions, in someway has something to do with you. eg. she gone abroad, yuh get a lil gift when she come back. stuff like that.

Thanks, Saps, no I haven't caught no fish....

....but the question was inspired by a female friend who was recently taken in by a smooth one, she asked me how will she know the next time if the guy is genuine or not, I didn't have the answer so I posted it here.

Well thats easy -
1. He's not in a hurry to be all over your body (well he might be but he shows restraint). Getting u into bed is not his priority.
2. He makes an effort to get to know u. Not just the positions u wanna try, but u - what u like where u are in life, where u wanna be, what your dreams etc
3. He wants to meet and get to know your family. Most guys run from this so the guy that ask about your folks and show an interest, really cares.
4. He's willing to go out of the way to make u happy. If u really wanna eat barbeque form Toco, he's willing to drive down there to get it.
5. He plays with u. Get your mind out of the gutter ppl. I mean he teases u, he kisses u on the nose, etc.

You know it have some fellas that does do all what serenity said and still they don't be for real eh. There are no guarantees to know in advance.

One thing I would add to the family point..........he would also introduce you to his family and not keep too much back about himself. He should want you to know about him as much as he wants to get to know you. If a man/or woman is being secretive about themsleves, their family or past, that would be a warning sign.

In due time is when you would know. Don't rush into it, just take things slowly and see how or where it goes.

-I think dat when he is not only interested in findin out about you (having you talk about urself all d time) and he is willing to conversate about himself and his past (showin dat he has nothin 2 hide) then he really cares.
-Because (some men) sometimes men does only want d woman to talk (because dey say dat is wat we like to do).
-He has plans wit his friends but every now and then he breaks those plans to be wit you and do something you want to do.
-Basically if he goes out of his way to make you comfortable, he cares.

*keep in mind dat if he guy really wants 2 'eat' (y'all know wat i mean) he will go through wat ever he has to, in order to win a bet, or just to show that he could 'eat' to his friends.

*guys and females are sneaky creatures and if we want something bad enough we will go the extra mile to get it.

*life is all about taking chances. But not because a guy shows you a good time (not in a sexual way) and treats you right that means he only after your 'goodies'. As i said life is about taking chances so say a pray before you join in any relationship, physical, business, etc......
