SEHWAG ON 309 NOT OUT FROM ONLY 292 BALS!!!

AT THIS RATE HE COULD FLY PAST 400 ON THE NEXT DAY!!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/shared/.../scorecard.stm

India's Virender Sehwag hit the fastest recorded triple-century in Test history on day three of the first Test against South Africa in Chennai.
Sehwag reached 100 before lunch and 200 after, before passing 300 from 278 balls in the evening session.

Lara has nothing to prove anymore. It was inevitable that his record would be broken, but his legacy will remain intact.

Sehway WILL NOT break the record tomorrow.
Batting up to 300 is par, but it gets all mental from 325 and up.......watch this list of highest scores, a host of fallen soldiers lay after 310, especially in the 330's.

The real Test is mental. This was surprisingly a chanceless innings and Smiffy seems to have no ideas.......Whn you need a Pollock!!

You have to buckle down when you climbing the 300+ ladder, Sehwag game is brute force and he likes to hit milestones as boundaries...hopefully that's his downfall in the morning......

Since Sobers had that record in '58 I think it belongs in the WI.

Vaio, no record for Sehwag.

No, but isn't praying for a sport record to not be broken a bit extreme ?

Huma

It's not something I would do. It's like praying for someone else's hard work to not pay off...praying for someone to fail.

111.3 Ntini to Sehwag, FOUR, that's just a bit short and Sehwag pulls it over midwicket for his first boundary of the innings, he was cramped for room but managed to place it well, Sehwag's gone past Chris Gayle's 317

111.4 Ntini to Sehwag, OUT, stunned silence at the MA Chidambaram Stadium before the crowd breaks into spontaneous applause, Sehwag tries to drive a good length ball through cover but gets a thick outside edge which flies straight to first slip, McKenzie takes a comfortable catch and that's the end of Sehwag's outstanding innings
V Sehwag c McKenzie b Ntini 319 (531m 304b 42x4 5x6) SR: 104.93

Sehwag walks off to tremendous applause which continues for the batsman walking in, it's Sachin Tendulkar and he's entertained the Chennai crowd with several special innings in the past.

South Africa have achieved the first objective of dismissing Sehwag early this morning.
