tetanus injection

last saturday my daughter tova lin bartholomew took part in a basketball game at the eddie hart grounds in Tacarigua, Trinidad and she recieved a 50 stitch BOTH inside and outside cut of her right leg, which is one, a scare for life and two an injury that will render her problems for the rest of her life. She is an aspiring model and an ardent basketball player.she trains with for the TnT National Basketball Team and plays with the Unit Trust Maloney Pacers. she was taken to the Arima Hospital (and we (THE GOVERNMENT) say we have the best health care in Trinidad and Tobago and the West Indies-yea right) where she was unable to recieve the "best medical care" because she had to purchase the 'tetanus shot" that was administered earlier this week.
no one from the ministry CONTACTED my daughter( her mother and i( i an ex-police officer) live outside of trinidad and tobago) up untill these articles-"INJURY PUTS BASKETBALL'S CAREER IN JEOPARDY","TETANUS VACCINE SHORTAGE" and "GOPEESINGH: VACCINE SHORTAGE COULD RESULT IN DEATHS" hit the GUARDIAN ( THE # ONE NEWSPAPER IN TNT) on thursday 13th march, only to ask her whether the report was true or not, not whether she recieved any medical attention or is still recieving, or if she was doing alright or not. how insulting this man was and the ministry on the whole or is it the anyone uses the government facilities without the consent of government officers. GOD help US.

I agree with you, and when citizens like youself give stories of this kind to the press,
legal or not, they are highly offended by the truth, but if they don't want bad publicity
then fix the Health care system, for the most part of all! to treat patients with life threatening
injuries and the like, for their own well being first, then when asked any questions! they
can earn a good report, for real. The Government don't realize, it's about the people first,
and to give the benefits needed, in emergencies, not let them die, before they will fix Health
