View Full Version : Bandits rob my car this morning
Nadie

It look like Manning want me to thank the bandits for robbing my car and taking what they want at their whim and fancy. I should go an' tief from Manningham palace and rob his luxury vehicle at my whim and see how he like it. Take what yuh want, isn't that how it is nowadays?
You kno the funny thing is, all my caretaker could do is watch them break the glass and steal from 2 vehicles on the compound. The police were called and no one came. Great job!! So much money all yuh spend in blimp and cah catch anyone?...like that is a joy ride or what. Yet d same police want to stop me on the highway and check me....a 23 year old uwi student for drugs...mind you i never see illegal drugs in meh life. The police are doing a great job...i have to say. Wuttlesssss!!!!! They don't even come and make drivebys at night
Oh the other funny thing, i must go to Arima police station, waste my god given time, of which is so precious as i have exams on monday.......for them to lift fingerprints....to capture who? i don't know.......cuz they never ketch anybody yet. The sad thing is...is fellaz from the neighbourhood who do it, everyone know who do it, yet ..de police laff at me when i say i kno who do it..you ever see more?
I'm really upset...maybe i should get down to their level..and just take what i want....I would really love to talk to the honourable Patrick Manning about my ideas for crime in this country, since he's run out of ideas period and is WASTING the country's money. I would love to take a ride in his jet to school as that would mean i wouldn't need a car to have things stolen from it. What can i say iz Manning country ent? Ent all yuh like it like that

Crime is a worldwide problem, so smile, fete with max and move on...
:o Patos was the tief?
Same thing went through my head.
I always a lil suspicious of people who suffer losses or tragedies and immediately jump into a rant about all kinda tangentially related political matters.
Considering the fact that you actually know who the bandits are, I woulda think that more of your ire would be headed their way. Instead the bandits get mention twice, Manning get mentioned, threatened and criticized about 6 times, and the police get criticized at least 4 times...once for actually doing their job.
Somebody priorities in a mess, and for once I doh think is Manning.
That said, I know a thread yuh might want to post in... (http://www.ttonline.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1734)

First time I read this thread I shook my head and decided there was nothing worth saying that I could post.
If you say you knew who the bandits were, instead of just saying that, did you identify them? Did you have any evidence that could be used? Did you get any witnesses to the incident who will be willing to testify? And finally, do you intend to get your car fingerprinted so if the police apprehend these suspects they actually have evidence to convict them instead of just your word of mouth?
My guess to all of the above is no, because you seem more concerned with blaming Patrick Manning instead of the bandits and taking the appropriate measures to get their tiefing backsides arrested. And so, because of your unwillingness to do what needs to be done, these fellows will be robbing another innocent person today, most likely.

Nadie gurl ah feel yuh pain and totally understand your frustration with the way the situation turned out.
Your post I am sure did not detail every little thing but at least yuh vented and hopefully this made it a tad bit more bearable. As for dissecting why and who yuh should blame and talk about, me not even going there as is yuh right to say as yuh please and feel how yuh feel.
The police were incompetent as per usual but hey....lets praise them for doing half their jobs and badly at that. First of all a reallllll police force would have eventually sent someone around to dust the car for fingerprints then and there cause moving it would or could have distorted any evidence left at the scene. but hey...once again that is just me watching too much police programmes based on what real police work should be like.
Girl free reign to yuh anger and fear and feelings of vexed frustration. Anyone else who tries to trivialise that eh worth yuh time. Hope things work out and at least you get some sort of closure legally here.

but she did say: '..de police laff at me when i say i kno who do it..'
i know where she coming from, i went to a sparrow concert at the jean pierre complex, the parking lot was guarded by police.
enjoyed the show, when we went back to the car, back window broken, camera missing. go to st. james cid to report. at least they finger printed the car, but while the policeman was fingerprinting the car, he told us it was 'police self' yuh have to watch out for.

Wuttlesssss!!!!! They don't even come and make drivebys at night. ..... I know, even though they don't have enough police to patrol all of T&T, they should at least have the courtesy to drive by your place

Nah man! Ah find allyuh harsh.
Nadie girl, it frustrating yes, and perhaps by sharing your story here u have managed to enlighten some of us into the realities of the situation. Put that rage into a letter to the editor. Put in writing to the Commissioner and the head of that station and that division. Write to the Minister. Perhaps if enough of us do that something might change?
A friend of mine was carjackked right inf ront her gate and the only reason she got back the car was bec she knew an officer in CID office who in his own time, tracked it down. Other than that, no officer ever got to her house to question her or investigate anything.
Crime is a worldwide problem, so smile, fete with max and move on...
see how allyuh rough up the girl....might be a case of that bf post in the social relations board last year...poor girl never came back..
Nadie i hope you get some assistance from the police in putting these criminals where they belongs :!:

Everyone has the right to feel how they do and Nadie has every right to feel wronged by the police and express that frustration. But that does not mean the frustration is being directed in the right places. Look at what is being said.
The poster bashes the uselessness of the police, yet is unwilling to take her car in to be fingerprinted. Hello, if it is not fingerprinted then there is little more than word of mouth for a court to go on. How many times have we heard this story? And then when the court has no concrete evidence and lets the bandit go free, we hear noise again.
If I see someone break into my car, and I go and tell the police I know who did it, and then I don't get the car fingerprinted...do you honestly think they going to jail somebody just because I say so? That is not how it works! It is inconvenient, but if you are wronged and want to do something about it then it is your responsibility and yours alone to cooperate with the relevant authorities to see action taken!
Then, the poster spent what may be more time bashing Manning instead of the incompetence of the officers involved. You don't expect me to sit here and sympathize and say she doing the right thing do you? Did Manning break into the car? Was Manning the officer who dealt with the case? Was Manning the supervising officer on duty?
Remind me to bawl up Manning...traffic wasn't moving dis evening and ah vex too bad

ABSOLUTELY FRICKING AMAZING! That's what I think of most of the responses made here, to this unfortunate young woman's plight.
Why shouldn't she expect law enforcement to respond to a crime committed against her? Why couldn't the police come to her place to investigate the robbery? One would figure that the scene of the crime would be the most likely location to gather evidence, if any. Why is she being ridiculed by posters, because she expects basic services for her tax dollars?
Contrast the author's experience with my situation, but in a different country. A few years ago, my house in Toronto was broken into while I was away during the day. Imagine coming home after work and discovering three poilce cruisers, two parked in your driveway and one on the road outside, with six police officers walking through your house. At first I thought I was at the wrong house. It turns out that my busybody neighbour saw an unfamiliar shadow in my daughter's bedroom, called my house, no one picked up the phone, so she called 911. I should also mention that I was living in a modest bungalow in those days. My place was completely ramsacked, with contents of dressers emptied on the floor. No big ticket items were taken, just some petty cash and a couple bottles of booze. The police figured it was the work of some neighbourhood kids looking for cash.
So, why should Trinis expect less from their law enforcement agency? What about the notion of "serve and protect", is that too much to ask from those being paid to do a job? Who is responsible for the actions of law enforcement? Who is the CEO of the nation? Where does the buck stop?

I feel your pain! but until Law enforcement in Trinidad don't take the necessary steps to
accommodate victims of crime then this will be the result of Trinidad. A cop who laughts
at a crime report of any kind! is part of the problem, therefore! he should be reported to the
higher ups in the Police dept. of the area, and you will be within your rights to do that!
if you can't get justice one way then there's always other ways. Don't let them play you

credible! to help solve any crime, in any part of the world, and should not be laughed at, but

When I asked for media type proof he could'nt produce any backup for his story, but a gay anese born moderator defended him as another Indian victim of the PNM etc, I can smell the same stink with this "story".
