I can make a pretty decent potato and pumpkin curry but I want to try bodi for lunch today as well but I never used it in curry before.
Can anyone guide me quickly how to make it? Thanks! :D
well first you need to break the bodi sticks into 1 inch pieces....take out the head and tail.....1bundle.
heat frying pan with oil, then throw in onions, garlic, and pepper (all to taste)....let it fry for a couple seconds, throw in 2tablespoons of curry...let it fry...then throw in your bodi sticks...cover the frying pan and low the heat....turn the bodi ocassionally so that it does not stick to the pan... cook until tender....
Hope that helps....that is how my mom does it...

Thanks Vaio :D , I would make it exactly like that. One question though, after you put the bodi, you dont add any water at all or a little bit?
np chica you can add a little water if you prefer a soft texture to the bodi...my mom does not like it too soft she likes it a tad crunchy...its up to you :geek:
oh and i forgot to mention that you add salt to taste...

curry bodi...the first thing I truly tried to cook in my life.....
too much curry: bitter
too much salt: inedible
too little cooking: inside moist and contrasted with the salt crust.
the 'roti' wasnt too hot either.
I threw the lot away, was 30 miles away from civilisation, so I just drank water and to disappoint breadwinner, cried.
In a month I was cooking up a storm. 8-)
currying is the same procedure most of the time (ecept with meat)....
i hate bodi... :( the only thing worse than curry bodi is curry cabbage :o

When I do my curry bodi, I does add a lil bit ah cabbage sometimes....
Instead of choppin up the onions and garlic, i have a mixture that I make on a sunday - Blend up bandana, pepper, onion, garlic and keep it...but blend it wid ah lill lill bit of water. Doh put salt it does discolor the mixture after sometime....
I does keep it in the fridge and use it when i marinating meat, when I making my curry pumpkin or curry bodi etc. Saves time in doing it during the week.

yes but the cabbage should be a small amount
it leads to flaulence, and with the curry, sometimes your stomach can suffer.
