The LORD your God, he is God in heaven and in earth beneath.
KJV - Joshua 2:11
Let's boldly tell the stories of God's greatness.
You never know whose heart may be ready to respond!
Christ is coming, over the world victorious
Power and glory unto the Lord belong:
Praise HIm! Praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness!
Praise Him! Praise Him! Ever in joyful song.
Don't be shy; tell the stories of God's greatness :(
Tante
Hi Tante, we missed you these few days. Welcome back, and I see you are now Eleanor. God is truly great, and the daily singing of the glory of his name makes him even greater.

God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins.
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made
a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross!

WE ARE A BLESSED PEOPLE
There are many things beyond our control,
but we need not fear. We who have placed
our trust in Jesus are on the winning side.
:D :D :D :D :D
Lamb of God! You now are seated
High upon Your Father's throne;
All Your gracious work completed,
All Your mighty victory known.
Satan may win some battles, but he
cannot win the war!

Hey Tante
Let us sing God's praises, glorifying him for the opportunity to see another light of day. Amen.
Hi sweetie:
You said the right thing. Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord and be thankful for His goodness towards the children of men!
Have a blessed and careful day.

So when you give to the needy, do not announce
it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the
synagogues and on the streets, to be honored
by men. I tell you the truth, they have received
their reward in full.
But when you give to the needy, do not let
your left hand know what your right hand
is doing, so that your giving may be in secret.
Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret
will reward you.
Matthew 6:2-4 *** NIV
BE WISE LISTEN UP!
Our generousity should be God-centered,
not to make us look good, but to please
the Lord.
With your next good deed, ask yourself:
If I knew that no one would ever find
out that I did this, would I still do it?
Grant us, then, the grace for giving
With a spirit large and free,
That our life and all our living
We may consecrate to Thee.
:( God sees the giver as well as the gift;
the heart as well as the hand.

If anyone considers himself religious and does
not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives
himself and his religion is worthless.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure
and faultless is this: to look after orphans
and widows in their distress and to keep
oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:26-27 *** NIV
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: :?
1. Do you know a widow who needs your help?
2. Do you know an orphan and/or child who has
been deprived of some sort of support?
3. Is there a family member who may be having
some problems at this time?
CONSIDER THIS: :D
The Word of God declares the following:
1. Visit orphans and widwos in their troubles.
2. Give a helping hand whenever possible.
3. Use encouraging words to uplift, not to
tear down.
Open my eyes, Lord, to people around me,
Help me to see them as You do above;
Give me the wisdom and strength to take action,
So others may see the depth of Your love.
The more Christ's love grows in us,
the more His love flows from us.

Yea, though I walk through the vallley
of the shadow of death, I will fear no
evil: for thou art with me; thy rod
and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4 *** KJV
QUESTION YOURSELF:
Are you victimized by your fears?
DO THIS:
Recall the wonderful, dread-dispelling
promise of Scripture:
Fear thou not; for I am with thee;
be not dismayed: for I am thy God; I will
strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee with the right
hand of my righteouness.
Isa. 41:10 *** KJV
When I fear my faith will fail,
Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail,
He will hold me fast.
If you believe that Jesus lives,
you don't need to fear death.

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the LORD seated
on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe
filled the temple.
Above him were seraphs, each with six wings. With two
wings they covered their faces, with two they covered
their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were
calling to one another:
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth
is full of his glory."
Isaiah 6:1-3 *** NIV
IN DUE SEASON:
In a vision, God showed Isaiah who He really was.
Today, we can see God in His Word and in the
Spirit's work in and through us.
And we can also commune with Him through prayer.
SOON, AND VERY SOON!
But one day in heaven (and that is not to far
away) we will see our Lord face-to-face.
Glory, glory, glory.... :shock:
Face to face! O blissful moment!
Face to face - to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ who loves me so.
God's awesome presence is both convicting
and comforting.
God's awesome presence is both convicting
and comforting.
Yes'm. Amen.

When you were slaves to sin, you were free from
the control of righteousness.
What benefit did you reap at that time from the
things you are now ashamed of? Those things
result in death!
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:20-21, 23 *** NIV
GIVE CONSIDERATION TO THIS! :shock:
It's a paradoxical truth that while salvation
is free, its cost was great.
One author said: "Forgiveness, which is so
easy for us to accept, cost the agony at Calvary."
TAKE HEED! :o
Anyone who teaches something else is simply
pushing a "knockoff" of the real thing."
Oh, how great a gift Jesus gave to me!
Lived a perfect life, died upon a tree;
Not for me alone has He paid the price,
But for all the world by His sacrifice.
Our salvation was infinitely costly to God,
but it is absolutely free to us.

A man hath joy by the answer
of his mouth: and a word spoken
in due season, how good it it!
Proverbs 15:23 *** NIV
WISDOM SAYS...
In a world where words are often wielded
as weapons, may we use our words as
tools to build up the hearts of others.
Keep my tongue, Lord, bridled well,
Words of truth, oh, may I tell;
Take my heart, its wellspring deep,
Cleanse and purify and keep.
Gentle words are more powerful
than angry words. :mrgreen:

Ye are all the children of light, and the
children of the day: we are not of the
night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others;
but let us watch and be sober.
1 Thessalonians 5:5-6 *** KJV
GET READY, GET READY!
Apostle Paul's challenge echoed Jesus' own
words urging His followers to be watchful
and ready, "for the Son of Man is
coming at an hour you do not expect."
[Matthew 24:44].
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
If we believe our Lord's word about His coming,
how will it affect our thoughts and actions today?
What would He find, should He come just now:
A faded leaf, or a fruitless bough;
A servant sleeping, an idle plow?
What would He find should He come just now?
Every Christian should be an expectant uplooker, :roll:
not a sleepy onlooker! :cry:

A despairing man should have the
devotion of his friends, even though
he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
Job 6:14 *** NIV
When Job finally spoke, he told his friends
what he needed from them. He asked for the
following:
1. He asked for reasons to continue hoping
2. Kindness
3. And words that did not presume guilt.
KEEP THIS IN MIND:
Remembering the story of Job and his friends
may help us when we don't know what to say.
Lord, give me sensitivity
To people in their grief and pain,
To weep with them and show Your love
In ways mere words cannot attain.
When someone's grieving, listen, don't lecture. :(

When the even was come, they brought unto
him many that were possessed with devils;
and he cast out the spirits with his word,
and healed all that were sick:
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken
by Esaias the prophet, saying,
Himself took our infirmities and bare
our sicknesses.
Matthew 8:16-17 *** KJV
Many of us struggle with our thoughts about
God, especially during illness.
So we pray, "Deliver me, therefore, O my God,
from these infirmities."
However, we must believe that the
Great Physician knows all things, and He has
taken the weight of our sins and our weakness
for He paid a great and dear price for them.
SEARCH YOURSELF, AND ANSWER:
Why does God permit sickness in the
lives of His children? :(
The cross of Jesus is the supreme evidence
of the love of God. :mrgreen:

Salvation is found in no one else,
for there is no other name under
heaven given to men by which we
must be saved.
Acts 4:12 *** NIV
FOOD FOR THOUGHT!
Ask yourself this: "Am I trusting in Jesus?"
RESPONSE:
If not, you're running for nothing. and
wasting time.
It's not what I achieve that qualifies,
It matters not if I gain wealth or fame;
The only thing I must be certain of
Is "have I put my trust in the name of
the Son of God?
If we could earn our salvation, Christ would
not have died to provide it.

Wash you, make you clean; put away the
evil of your doings from before mine
eyes; cease to do evil;
Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed, judge the
fatherless, plead for the widow.
Isaiah 1:16-17 *** NIV
WHAT TO DO!
Instead of focusing on what is wrong,
let's obey the One who knows what is right.
Lord, grant me grace throughout this day
To walk the straight and narrow way,
To do whatever in Thy sight
Is good and perfect, just and right. :roll:
Like a compass, the Bible always
points you in the right direction.

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of
darkness," made his light shine in our hearts
to give us the light of the knowledge of the
glory of God in the face of Christ.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay
to show that this all-surpasssing power
is from God and not from us.
2 Corinthians 4:6-7 *** NIV
THERE IS WORK TO DO: :o
By every means possible, let's proclaim
the gospel. But let's pray that the
Holy Spirit will make us personally winsome,
loving and free from sin so that we can
attract others to Him.
Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me,
All His wonderful passion and purity;
Oh, Thou Spirit Divine, all my nature refine
Till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me. :mrgreen:
Righteousness in the heart produces beauty
in the character.

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
Proverbs 17:22 *** KJV
THINK ON THIS! :o
There is a deeper, abiding joy for those
who trust Christ as Lord.
Ask Him into your heart today and you
will experience the joy of knowing that
He has provided forgiveness of sin and a
restored relationship with Himself through
His Son Jesus. :mrgreen:
To take a glimpse within the veil,
To know that God is mine,
Are springs of joy that never fail;
Unspeakable! Divine!
Joy comes from the Lord who lives in us,
not from what's happening around us.

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill
cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a
lamp and put it under a bowl.
Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives
light to everyone in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before men,
that they may see your good deeds and praise
your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16 *** NIV
ARE YOU SHINING?
Our capacity to shine for Jesus is measured
by our good works, which reveal His compelling
reality in our lives.
Therefore, let's turn on the lights.....
You are called with a holy calling
The light of the world to be,
To lift up the lamp of the Savior
That others His light may see.
To lead others out of the darkness of sin,
let them see the light of Christ in your life. :geek:

No discipline seems pleasant at the time,
but painful. Later on, however, it produces
a harvest of righteousness and peace for
those who have been trained by it.
Hebrews 12:11 *** NIV
GO WITH THE FLOW:
Is God using pain in your life to
lovingly persuade you to change?
ENJOY THE RESULTS:
The season of trouble may not be easy,
but if we let ourselves be trained by it,
new growth will result as we become
more like His Son.
We shrink from the purging and pruning,
Forgetting the Gardener knows
The deeper the cutting and paring
The richer the cluster that grows.
Affliction for God's people can be the pruning
knife to prepare us for greater fruitfulness.
P.S.
If you allow the purging to do the work,
you will become sweeter than honey
from the honeycomb. Be encouraged, it really,
really works, if you let it!

Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted in me?
hope thou in God: for I shall yet
praise him for the help of his
countenance.
Psalm 42:5 *** KJV
DISCOURAGED?:
Only as we submit our brokenness to
the good and great Shepherd of our hearts
can we find the peace that allows us to
respond to life.
TAKE HEART:
Hope in God, it's the only solution
for the deep traumas of the heart.
The Christian's hope is in the Lord,
We rest secure in His sure Word;
And though we're tempted to despair,
We do not doubt that God is there.
No one is hopeless whose hope is in God.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness
of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that, when they knew God, they
glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;
but became vain in their imaginations, and their
foolish heart was darkened.
Romans 1:18, 21 *** KJV
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: :roll:
Do you want to please God and know
Him better?
THEN DO THIS: :D
Have an attitude of gratitude.
We thank You, Lord, for blessisngs
You give us on our way;
May we for these be grateful,
And praise You evry day.
Faith flourishes in the Garden of Gratitude..... :mrgreen:

What do you think? There was a man
who had two sons. He went to the first
and said, "Son, go and work today in the
vineyard."
I will not, he answered, but later he
changed his mind and went.
Then the father went to the other son
and said the same thing. He answered,
'I will, sir,' but he did not go.
Matthew 21:28-31 *** NIV
WHAT THINK YE?
Which of the two did what his
father wanted?
[Matt.21:31]
Our Lord's illustration underscores a key
spiritual principle. God is interested in
our faith and obedience, not just our good
intentions.
Next time you are tempted to shirk your
duties, why not ask God for the grace to
do the task.
O help us, Lord, to heed Your Word,
Its precepts to obey;
And give us strength to quench the urge
To do things our own way
Obedience is faith in action. :mrgreen:

Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge
among you? let him show out of a good conversation
his works with meekness of wisdom.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure,
then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated,
full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality,
and without hypocrisy.
James 3:13, 17 *** KJV
WHERE ARE YOU?
Feelings of insignificance are rampant
these days, even among Christians, and
some do hurtful things to make themselves
feel important.
THINK ON THIS!
As members of God's church, we need to be
"rivets" without defect. When we are pure,
strong and steadfast, we will be used by the
Lord to keep His ship afloat in times of crisis.
The task Thy wisdom hath assigned,
O let me cheerfully fulfill;
In all my works Thy presence find,
And prove Thy good and perfect will.
It is a great thing to be faithful in little things...... :mrgreen:

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time
of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my
course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me
only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:6-8 *** KJV
GOING ON A TRIP?
All voyages, are fraught with uncertainty,
especially those that pass through waters
never sailed before.
Nevertheless, the journey is not uncharted.
There is One who has taken it before us,
and He promised to return to bring us safely
through.
Say not it's a dreadful journey
When the Savior leads the way;
It's but passing thorugh the shadows
To the land of endless day!
Those who love the Lord need not fear death.

The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported
to him all they had done and taught.
Then, because so many people were coming and
going that they did not even have a chance to eat,
he said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to
a quiet place and get some rest."
Mark 6:30-31 *** NIV
AND HERE IS WISDOM:
After Jesus' disciples completed a demanding
period of ministry, He said to them, come and
rest a while.
However, when your long day of ministry is
finally ended, find a place where you can
seek renewal in prayer with the Heavenly Father.
HINT, HINT!
Jesus our Lord is always with us whether life
is hectic or calm, but there is great value in
taking time "each day" to walk the quiet road
with Him.
There is a place of quiet rest,
Near to the heart of God;
A place where sin cannot molest,
Near to the heart of God.
Time spent with the Lord is always time well spent. :mrgreen:

Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how
they might entangle him in his talk.
Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou?
Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar,
or not?
Then saith he unto them, Render therefore
unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's'
and unto God the things that are God's.
Matthew 22:15, 17, 21 *** KJV
WHERE ARE YOU STANDING TODAY?
As followers of Christ, we are commanded
to cooperate with our rulers, but we are
called to give God our ultimate obedience
and commitment.
We live today as citizens of two worlds,
And this demands a duty to fulfill;
But greater far should be our heart's desire
To honor Christ and always do His will.
:arrow: Government has authority, but God has
ultimate authority. ;)

You are forgiving and good, O Lord,
abounding in love to all who call to you.
Hear my prayer, O LORD; listen to
my cry for mercy.
In the day of my trouble I will call
to you, for you will answer me.
Psalm 86:5-7 *** NIV
WHAT DID DAVID KNOW?
David, the psalmist understood that
we can cast all our cares on the Lord,
even if no one else prays for us.
He confidently concluded:
"In the day of my trouble I will call upon You,
for You will answer me."
God has given you His promise
That He hears and answers prayer;
He will heed your supplication
If you cast on Him your care.
Jesus hears our faintest cry. :(

For this cause I bow my knees unto the
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven

the riches of his glory, to be strengthened

Ephesians 3:14-16 *** KJV
HARD FACTS!
We are not equipped to handle all the
problems we face, but God is!
That's why He told us to give them all
to Him: "cast your burden on the Lord".
We can learn that walking with Jesus does not
depend on our legs, it depends on our heart.
I don't worry over the future,
For I know what Jesus said;
And today I'll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.
:o We can walk through the darkest trials
when we walk with God in the light... :mrgreen:

Have nothing to do with godless myths and
old wives tales; rather train yourself to be
godly.
If you point these things out to the brothers,
you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus,
brought up in the truths of the faith and of
the good teaching that you have followed.
1 Timothy 4:7, 6 *** NIV
:mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
How well we train greatly affects how
well we run our race of life.

Hear now this, O foolish people, and without
understanding; which have eyes, and see not,
which have ears, and hear not.
Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not
tremble at my presence, which have placed
the sand for the bound of the sea by a
perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it;
and though the waves thereof toss themselves,
yet can they not prevail; though they roar,
yet can they not pass over it?
Jeremiah 5:21-22 *** KJV
THINK ON THIS: :o
Within creation there is inherent order.
Violating it has inherent consequences.
God in His kindness simply and lovingly
communicated to us the order of things
so that we can avoid those consequences.
THINK CAREFULLY ON THIS: :shock:
We should be wise and know that we
must stay within His prescribed boundaries.
Lord, keep us on the narrow way,
Where no corruption, woe, nor evil can destroy,
Where Your right hand defeats the worldly fray
To lead us into Your eternal joy.
Disregarding God's order leads to disorder!

According to my earnest expectation and
my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed,
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Philippians 1:20a-21 *** KJV
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
During our physical life, we have
opportunities to serve Jesus.
But one day, we will actually be in
His presence.
All our fears and concerns will melt
away when we see Him face to face. :D
Death? Christ said not death;
He called it sleep;
A vast awaking, a new day breaking,
A bright way taking, with visions deep.
For the Christian, the fear of death will
give way to the fullness of life. :P

GIVE THOUGHT TO THIS!
When trouble comes, and we ourselves cannot
handle the problem, ultimately, we seek help
from the Lord.
The good news is, God miraculously sends help
from the sanctuary.
TAKE HEED!
Don't make the mistake by seeking help from
flesh! But put your trust in the living God
and you will always be sure of victory!
Trust in God and you will know
He can vanquish any foe;
Simply trust Him day by day,
He will be your strength and stay.

2 Corinthians 6:11-13 *** NIV
IS THIS YOU?
A large hearted person shows his affection
with his words and actions, freely and

ARE YOU AMONG THE FOLLOWING?
As believers, let's live large today and freely
welcome and embrace others in love.
Love through me, Love of God,
There is no love in me;
O Fire of love, light Thou the love
That burns perpetually.
They do not truly love who do not show their love. :o

AND HERE IS WISDOM:
The sooner we get over the illusion that more stuff
means more peace, happiness, and self-fulfillment,
the better off we will be.
GET THIS!
In order to find the longed-for peace and happiness,
the true "good life" only Jesus can provide that.
O Lord, help us to be content,
Whatever we possess;

HEAR YE, HEAR YE:
As we yield our lives to God's Spirit within,
we can live lives of uncommon beauty before
a watching world. The psalmist assures us:
"The LORD will beautify the humble."
Beautiful faces are those that seem
With the very love of God to beam;
Beautiful forms are those that grace
With gentle service the lowliest place.
Live so that others will want to know Jesus. ;)

He was in the world, and though the world was
made through him, the world did not recognize him.
He came to that which was his own, but his own did
not receive him.
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed
in his name, he gave the right to become children
of God, children born not of natural descent, nor of
human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

FACTS!
Astronomically, we are insignificant.
But we are the beloved objects of God's care.
While we have no reason for pride, we are
inexpressibly grateful to the Lord whose love
for us personally is revealed at Calvary's cross.
Loved with everlasting love,
Led by grace that love is know,
Gracious Spirit from above,
Thou hast taught me it is so!
We have nothing to boast of but that
we're dearly loved by God. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION!
When our hearts hurt because of loss, we can
find hope in our Lord, who never changes.
Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side;
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
When the sunshine of God's love meets the
showers of our sorrow, the rainbow of promise
appears. :mrgreen:

BE ENCOURAGED :(
When especially difficult circumstances or strong
temptations invade our lives and remind us of
our powerlessness, we have an all-powerful God
who works on behalf of those who trust Him.
No strength of our own nor goodness we claim;
Our trust is all thrown on Jesus' name:
In this our strong tower for safety we hide;
The Lord is our power, "The Lord will provide."
Whatever does not begin with God will end in failure. :shock:

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree;
he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those who are planted in the house of the

They shall still bring forth fruit in old age;
they shall be fat and flourishing,
To show that the LORD is upright. He is my rock,

TAKE TO HEART
Time is not a factor. Neither is the barren
ground of circumstance. All that matters
is that we allow our hearts to be the soil in
which Christ is welcomed and worshipped.
God's promise like a tiny seed
May seem to be an empty thing,
But hidden in that tiny seed
Is life that waits the warmth of spring.
God never makes a promise that He will not keep. :mrgreen:

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great
cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that
hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let
us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter
of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured
the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the
right hand of the throne of God.

KEEP THE FAITH!
As life takes its course in the aging process,
we have the hope of a new body that will
far outshine the original.
Despite our aches and pains, our destiny belongs
safely in the hands of "Jesus, the author and
finisher of our faith."
New bodies will be ours someday
According to God's grand design,
Forever with the Lord to reign
Praise God for the promise divine!
In the twinkling of an eye, we shall be changed. ;)

WHAT IS LOVE?
Love is described as "suffers long and is kind"
and is never self-seeking.
Love keeps no record of wrongs, even is someone
forgets to thank us for a kindness.
The other side of thank you is a pure heart that
reflects God's perfect love for us.
I want the love that always sweetly bears

I want the love that patiently endures
The wrongs that come from enemy or friend.

God, revealed in Jesus, is your kind

us the sure note to which we can tune our lives.
When we are off key, confession returns us,
and when there is something we must do, obedience
keeps us in tune.
You cannot hide your sin from God,
He knows what's in your heart;
Confession is the quickest way
To make a brand-new start.
When the heart is in tune with Christ,
the discords of life become harmonious. :mrgreen:

KNOW THIS FOR SURE!
God's response to the prophet indicates
that even when evil obscures the face
of God, and our inability to see Him does
not mean He is uninvolved.
Therefore, when world events cause you
to despair, turn off the news and turn
to Scripture.
You will find that the end of the story in
the Book of Revelation has already been
written by our holy God. Evil will not prevail.

So, I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him
in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth
and ashes.
I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed:
"O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps
his covenant of love with all who love him and
obey his commands, we have sinned and done

Daniel 9:3-5 *** NIV
GOOD INSIGHT!
As he prayed, Daniel focused on worship
and confession.
His pattern gives us an important insight
into talking to God:
1.) We are to recognize that God is
"great and awesome."
2.) We have sinned, and are sinners
saved by grace.
3.) In prayer, we praise and confess.
Let's follow Daniel's lead. To him, prayer
was as vital as life itself.

Some people claim to have found hidden

Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and

Be silent and listen to the voice of God - Ps. 46:10
Pause from a hectic schedule to be refreshed

Accentuate the joy of God's provision through

For His blessings all your days;
Lift your voice to God above,
God of mercy, God of love.

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes
he became poor, that ye through his poverty

PAY ATTENTION TO THIS: :shock:
Let us focus on the wonders of God's grace,
training ourselves to make a spirit of
gratitude pervade our lives. That is how we
experience the riches and the joy of our Lord.

O LORD, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive
my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you know

Psalm 139:1-4 *** NIV
WHO KNOWS YOU? :shock:
Men never know us as God does.
We are an open book to Him, there is
nothing about us that is hidden from Him.
1. God knows everything we do:
He knows all the activities of our day
and every detail of our schedule.
2. God knows everything we think and say:
The good and the bad, the wholesome
and the impure.
3. God knows everywhere we go:
You comprehend my path, and are acquainted
with all my ways.
GOD REALLY CARES FOR US! :D
God knows us better than we know ourselves.
Isn't it a comfort to be known so intimately by
our Lord, even with all our flaws, and yet be loved
so completely!
The blood of atonement fulfills all the law!
Amazement succumbs to the message of grace;
Though God knows our thoughts, every sin, every flaw,
His love bids us hide in His holy embrace.
You're not just a number computers can trace;
Christ knows your need, your name, and your face. :o

1. Christ comes to us, not to shield us from

2. Not to snatch us away by some miracle

3. But He came to give us peace, His peace

steadfast while the conflict rages,
and be able to bring to the torn world the
healing that is peace.
Christ did not come to shield us from
The grief and pain of life;

NOT TO FRET, PAY BACK IS COMING AT AWHILE! :o
Sadly, we live in a world where at times doing good

Nonetheless, the Lord will teach and show us that the
justice of God is not hampered by the evil of men.
Therefore, be encouraged by doing good, it is still
pleasing in the sight of God, even when we are
mistreated by those of this world.

We are to honor our Savior

Now brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel
I preached to you, which you received and on
which you have taken your stand.
By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly
to the word I preached to you.
Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:1-2 *** NIV
WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?
The gospel is this:
1. Jesus Christ came to earth and was
born of a virgin.
2. He lived a perfect life.
3. He gave up His life and became a sacrifice.
4. He allowed His own creation to stripe Him naked,
beat Him until He was wounded more than any
man and then they nailed Him to a tree where He died.
5. He was buried in a borrowed tomb.
6. And with victory, He was raised from the dead
three days later to justify and make righteous those
who would believe in Him.
THE BLESSING IS THIS:
Because He took our punishmnet for
sin on Himself, He can forgive our
sins and make us children of God
if we put our faith and trust in Him.
We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.
Therefore, let the greatest story ever told
make you and others brand new forever.
O cleansing Word, O precious Word,
Thy promises are true;
They are the "Amen" in my life;
Thy truths are ever new.
The gospel never grows old. :mrgreen:

Jesus dealt in counter-intuitive thinking

but it is the heart of the Christian experience.

More and more each day like Thee;
Just to live in full surrender

To live for Christ, we must learn to die to self. :mrgreen:

The rest of the people--priests, Levites, gatekeepers,
singers, temple servants and all who seperated themselves
from the neighboring peoples for the sake of the Law of
God, together with their wives and all their sons and
daughters who are able to understand--all these now
join their brothers the nobles, and bind themselves
with an oath to follow the Law of God given through
Moses the servant of God and to obey carefully all the
commands, regulations and decrees of the LORD our Lord.
Nehemiah 10:28-29 *** NIV
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
In Nehemiah 10, God's people made an oath, vowing to
follow all the commands, laws, and regulations of the Lord.
This oath was so serious that they were willing to accept
the curse of God if they failed to keep these commands.
TODAY, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Our resolutions need not be so serious as that.
But any resolution to follow God is not a casual
promise. Rather, it is a solemn and serious
declaration that--with the help of the Holy Spirit,
we can renew every day.
HERE ARE A FEW THOUGHTS:
1. To do whatever is most to God's glory.
2. To do my duty, for the good of mankind
in general.
3. Never to do anything, which I should be
afraid to do, if it were the last hour of my life.
4. To study the Scirptures steadily, constantly,
and frequently.
5. To ask myself at the end of every day, week,
month, and year if I could possibly have done better.
6. Finally, until I die, not to act as if I were my own,
but entirely and altogether God's.
Now, act on your resolutions! :mrgreen:

WHERE IS THE POWER?
A writer's thoughts are no substitute
for the powerful Word of God.
It's the only place to find spiritual
nourishment and strength for
each day.
And that in itself is exciting!
Give me, O Lord, a strong desire
To look within Your Word each day;
Help me to hide it in my heart,
Lest from its truth my feet would stray.
The Bible is the Bread of Life,
and it never becomes stale. :mrgreen:

Psalm 119:30-32 *** NIV
START TODAY! :(
It is good to engage now and then in
self-examination. We should face up
to the changes that need to be made,
and then make plans for how we're going
to implement them.
DO THIS! :?
Let's ask the Holy Spirit to help us in this
consistent practice through all our tomorrows.
Today is a good day to start.
You'll go forth a little stronger
With a fresh supply of grace,
If each day you meet the Savior
In a seret, quiet place.
God speaks to those who take time to listen,
and He listens to those who take time to pray. :mrgreen:
To add to your practice, try reading one Proverb for each day.
Whatever the date may be, read that Proverb.
Know for sure, you will receive instruction of wisdom
justice, and judgment and equity. You have nothing to
lose, but everything to gain!

Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will
go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on
business and make money.
Why you do not even know what will happen tomorrow.
What is your life? You are a mist that appears for
a little while and then vanishes.
Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will,
we will live and do this or that."
James 4:13-15 *** NIV
HOW ARE YOU DOING?
How we live our lives as followers of Christ
becomes a light and a note to the world.
By God's grace, what will your note say
and what sort of path will you leave?
Lord and Savior, Christ divine,
Reign within this heart of mine,
May my witness ever be,
Always, only, Lord for thee.
A Christlike life is a message of hope
to a searching world that is in the dark. :mrgreen:

THE RIPPLE EFFECT:
1. The choices we have made throughout life
determine where we are and what we are
becoming.
2. Choices are also telling: What we really
want, love and think show up in the choices
we make.
However, it has been written that our
lives are not made by the dreams we
dream but by the choices we make.
Let's make excellent ones!
Do a deed of simple kindness,

It may reach, like widening ripples,
Down a long eternity.
Make an excellent choice and watch the
ripple effect of blessing. :mrgreen:

Hi Eleanor,
Blessed New Year in Christ for you and your family.
Well I am back under the name of TriniDebbie, formerly TriniDeb324
looking forward to your words of inspiration.
Trinidebbie:
So very nice to see and hear from you once again. :mrgreen:
All is well with me in Christ Jesus the Lord, but on
the other hand, well, you know how it goes.
However, I will be looking forward in hearing
from you much sooner rather than later.
Be encouraged, stay fit in the Lord and keep-on,
keeping on.
PS. You are not the only one who had to change
the name, but that does not matter, you are yet
a child of the King and that is what is important.
Love,
Tante

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink,
or whatsoever ye do, do all to the
glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31 *** KJV
HAVE YOU SEEN THE GLORY OF GOD TODAY? :shock:
God's glory is the manifestation of all that
He is in His unsurpassed, stunning perfection.
1. It is His amazing love
2. His wide mercy
3. His deep grace
4. His glory is seen in His truth,
justice, wisdom and power.
:( There are a lot of misconceptions floating
around about God. It's our job to let others
see what He is really like.
May our lives be a "show and tell" for God's glory. :mrgreen:

Just as each of us has one body with many members,
and these members do not all have the same
function, so in Christ we who are many form one
body, and each member belongs to all the others.
We have different gifts, according to the grace
given us.
Romans 12:4-6 *** NIV
YOU ARE A JEWEL. :D
Human beings are the crowning jewel of creation,
and we shine the brightest not when we see our
likeness reflected in others but when each of us
performs the unique function that God designed
for us to do.
By God's wise designing
We are wonderfully made,
Every part essential
And in perfect balance laid.
There are no unimportant members in
the body of Christ. :mrgreen:

Let love be without dissimulation.
Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that
which is good.
Be kindly affectioned one to another
with brotherly love; in honour preferring
one another;
Distribution to the necessity of saints;
given to hospitality.
Romans 12:9-10, 13 *** KJV
ARE YOU A HOSPITALITY MANAGER? :roll:
The word hospitality means:
"love of strangers."
We must not forget to show hospitality to strangers,
for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained
angels.
However, often overlooked and sometimes
unappreciated, the ministry of the "hospitality
manager" which is a great gift, and it brings
with it the added possibility of surprising
blessings along the way!
My heart is filled, dear Lord, with love,
So let it show in words and deeds;
And help me share, in all my ways,
The overflow for others' needs.
To stretch your soul, reach out with Jesus' love. :mrgreen:

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out
into a place which he should after receive for
an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out,
not knowing where he went.
Hebrews 11:8 *** KJV
CONSIDER THIS! :?
When we experience God's call to another place,
it may mean leaving behind the people and the
things we love.
But when we are obedient to God, He will provide
something even more fulfilling at our new destination.
Fulfillment on life's journey comes
When we in faith obey
The leading of our loving God,
He'll not lead us astray.
You don't need to see the way if you
follow the One who is the Way. :mrgreen:
