As you may have heard, violence is spilling out of Sudan into neighboring Chad. Every day, countless men, women, and children continue to face violence, starvation, and disease.
In light of this escalating violence, we must ensure that our representatives send a strong message to China, Sudan's largest trade partner, now.

With China's protection, Sudanese President Bashir continues his brash defiance of the U.N. Just last week Bashir appointed a militia leader who helped orchestrate genocide in Darfur as a senior advisor on ethnic affairs.
Despite Bashir's games and the escalating violence, China continues to provide Sudan with a steady stream of cash and diplomatic support. As Sudan's defender in the international community and one of the regime's largest arms suppliers, China has the power to put real pressure on Sudanese President Bashir.
