Even a blind , deaf and dumb person knew Panday was not stepping aside , no matter what he said .
Do you all accept Panday and his foreign millior dollar bank account .
What about Panday and his total disdain for UNC supporters whom he ignored when he became PM in his quest to woo the East West Corridor ?
A corridor that rejected him.
What about Panday and his blue eyes boy Carlos John and where he is today ?
Do you all really think Panday deserves another chance ?
In fact what have Panday done for you lately ?

You saying he ignored the UNC supporters to woo the East West Corridor, and the East West Corridor saying he spend all the money in the UNC areas.Which is it.
The UNC government......which was led by Panday.
The UNC built the Chaguanas market, the Macoya Market, Marabella Market, Debe Market and completed 80% of the San Juan market.
The UNC also had a training program for agriculture, where specialized people in agriculture use to go around in every village and train people.
The UNC increase old age pension from $326.00 to $800.00
A Stronger Vibrant and Growing Economy
The UNC Government, during its term in office (1995-2001) worked hard to create a healthy economy so that Trinidad and Tobago’s families and business could strive and succeed. A growing economy meant more jobs and less unemployment throughout the nation. And the UNC government reduced the tax burden on our families.
LOCAL & INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT
1. Expansion of the economy. Between 1995 and 2000 the economy expanded by an average of 5.2% per annum. In 1999, the economy grew by 6.9%.
2. Reduced poverty. Under the UNC, the number of people living below the poverty line was cut in half.
3. Lowered inflation. The government bought inflation down to its lowest point in decades, which meant that people could more easily afford to buy food and medicine. Under the previous Manning Government, inflation average almost 8%, but since 1995 it was cut by 50%, averaging 4% under the UNC Government.
4. Foreign Exchange Reserves. The country’s foreign exchange reserves have grown since 1995, from a mere US$652 million in1995 to US$2.4 billion as of August 2001.
5. Exchange Rate Stability. The exchange rate remained stable and competitive throughout 1995 to 2001, with a slight appreciation in 2001.
6. The International Monetary Fund. In its June 2001 Staff Report stated that since the mid-1990’s Trinidad and Tobago’s economic performance had been among the strongest in Latin America and the Caribbean.
NEW JOBS FOR ALL
1. Created jobs. The UNC government created more than 80,000 jobs since 1995.
2. Reduced Unemployment. The unemployment rate fell every year that the UNC was in office, from 19.8% in 1995 to 10.1% last year.
3. Increased tourism. Since 1995, cruise ship and tourist arrival increased by more than 100%, creating thousands of jobs. The UNC government had plan to inject $30 million per year over a three year period into a promotion exercise that was expected to increase the number of visitors to Trinidad and Tobago.
4. Trained workers. The UNC government introduced top-notch job training agencies-such as The National Training Agency and The National Energy Skill Centre, and The Institute of Technology- and built dozens of distance learning centers so that people around the country could learn the skills they would need to get permanent, well-paying jobs.
PROTECTING WORKER’S RIGHTS
1. Mandated a National Minimum Wage. The UNC Government introduced Trinidad and Tobago’s first national minimum wage at $7.00 per hour so that everyone who finds a job and does a hard day’s work can make ends meet.
2. Support working mothers. The Maternity Protection Act, pioneered by the UNC Government, guaranteed maternity leave and protected pregnant women from discrimination in the workplace.
3. Reduced taxes. The UNC Government cut personal income taxes, so that workers took home a larger portion of their pay cheques.
4. Made foodstuff more affordable. The UNC Government removed the VAT on many basic food items, making the cost of food a lot cheaper.
Panday is one man that leads a team the UNC and yes I am willing to give the leader and team another chance........
As for Carlos John try google....who cares.
What has Manning done with 200 Billion?
Dookeran just strengthen my allegiance to the UNC and UNC-A.

You really think that the same UNC government that vying for power now was the one you referring to in the past? I voted for them then and was reluctant to move until I really could not stand to see what Panday had reduced the once proud UNC to. Why you think the party financiers gone and founding members resigning? The on the inside and can see better than us.
I have a brain and can see what he is doing to his own party just to regain power for himself. I don't live in the past, only looking forward to the future. It doesn't involve the UNC with Basdeo Panday at the helm. Without him the party can possibly rise again.
