finely mince your garlic wid ah sharp knife instead of using a garlic press.....
using ah garlic press (especially one made of aluminum) set de essential oils free and oxidisation immediately sets in which makes the taste bitter instead of garlicky

if you want your eggs to look pristine and white, use clarified butter (ghee).
because ghee doesnt burn as fast as regular butter, it does not get that brown tinge which usually transfers to the eggs when you cook it with regular butter

A snack-able tool for the next time you are making a crepe cake and you need something with which to apply the ghee to the crepe pan. Cut a small potato in half and stick a fork into the uncut end of one of the halves. With your new kitchen tool, dip the cut end into ghee and apply to crepe pan.
When yuh done wid yuh crepes, cut up an fry de aloo in some ghee for ah small snack. :D

I do mine on the stove top which I lined with aluminum foil. This is from this week's Choka. If you want a more smoky flavour, rub the baigan with some oil.

If you ever have guests over for dinner that you wouldn't want accepting a future invitation from you, after eating, call in the dog and have it lick the plates and cutlery clean then put them away in the cabinet. When your guests leave, you can put them in the dishwasher and clean them properly. I can guarantee that those guests will never return to your house for dinner - ever!

Preventive Measures
wear gloves: de most effecktiveway is tuh wear gloves
vegetable oil: b4 handling peppers, coat yuh hands generusly wid veggie oil (dis is de method dat i use)
sour cream: same as oil
Protective Measures
rum: eef u fuget tuh use any of de methods above, rub yuh hands wid puncheon rum (tek ah drink fuss!!)
aloe vera: rub ah freash cut aloe leaf on yuh hands
Two weekends ago I handled a chilly pepper and my hand was on fire for a couple hours well.
This had never happened to me before. I tried ice and it didnt work. Then I tried some vege oil and the burning
went away in about 10 to 15 minutes.

Thank u all. Gloves aren't "pratical" in my case -cause I'd have to use them every time I cook! I use alot of pimento peppers and sometimes they tend to be a lil "hot" so my hands start to burn :( But will def try the vege oil and washing machine powder.
