That is the rumour I hearing .
The more voters turn , the better Anand's chance .
My prediction is the RLM cannot win the seat .

UNC-A getting 13 of the 16 seats they had in the last election. The seats that I am not sure about are
-Pointe-a-Pierre: fight between Kangaloo-Carolyn-Wade. W
-St Augustine (although I feel UNC-A should win it)
-St. Joseph (the split of votes might actually allow PNM to win with UNC-A in 2nd and COP a distant 3rd)
UNC-A has a good chance in Mayaro and Manzanilla with the change of the elecoral boundaries.
At best count COP could get St. Augustine and maybe 1 other seat.

Even if your prediction is correct (I personally think it will be less than 10 ), then it would show beyond a doubt that the UNC is in decline .
Can a UNC supporter tell me why ?

Because UNC is Basdeo Panday and HE (Panday) has lost some (not all) of his appeal to the electorate...No other member of that party has any influence on the outcome of elections

Things not looking too well for Bas in Couva North .
Bas going to poll at least 10,000 votes in Couva North
sadly Bas will win his seat in Couva North... i think is because ppl votin for him for what he did for them years ago... dey don't want to 'betray' him... but as a voter from Couva North i tell you i cld never vote for a man like Bas again... he betray Kamla (his loyal supporter who preachin everyday that she have only one leader - Bas)...
ppl not lookin objectively at what he doin to the party and what he has done to all those who support him (jack have de money so Bas keepin him close)...sad..

The last walkaround the papers had in Couva North showed a lot of people still idolize Bas for what he had done for the sugar workers in the past. I seem to remember everyone thinking Bas should also pack it in for some fresh faces in his party. Some also said they were voting PNM cause they don't have a stable party to vote for on Couva North.
Anyone here ever been to Jamaica? If you have then look at how a once proud country has been torn apart by the same 2 men running for elections for the last 20+ years and doing anything to stay in power. Do you really want to make those same mistakes in TnT? Bas not diplomatic enough to hold together hos party should they come into power and Manning is a dictator and spending all we money.
Maccogirl will want us to believe that is since NAR days Caroni was slated to close, well is under PNM it did close with Bas staying quiet. He ride the workers backs and then was fiddling on the roof when Rome burned.
Bas did not deal with the caroni issue when he was in power.... Patos dealt with it... Bas had a chance to do so much more... granted he did do some good things...but avoided doing others like the trinity cross issue and caroni...

Bas stalled the process of closing Caroni that is what he did, unfortunately when Manning came into power he selected to follow the requirements of the IMF dictates, there was no way he could of avoided it, just as in the case of Bee Wee which was another state company on the list. So don't blame Manning for that one blame the idiots in the NAR, Dookeran, Wilson and Gordon for that, they were the one that made the deal with the IMF all Manning did was carry it out because in closing Caroni it would of had no effect on his political base, so he had nothing to lose. Lose what seats he never had, that is why he never touched WASA another company listed.
Some of you just talk and talk and never spend the time to get the facts on anything but come on here post what ever you feel just to suit your political leanings and to give the impression that the COP is the greatest invention since slice bread and Dookeran the greatest leader since Churchill. Personally I really don't care and am not here to say one party better than the other, but I do know one thing if bad decisions are made in this election and all the hopes and promises don't came to past with whoever the public places in government ALL of us will suffer. So I will look at the issues not the ole talk and that is what I will vote on.

If by showing his face and making sounds RLM feels that he is promoting the cause of opposition Unity he has failed dismally it is obvious that none is interested in anything he has to say or offer. The best place for him is home watching TV. and it would be a blessing to the country if he can convince his fellow Judas Panday to do likewise.

NAR was in power when? 1986 - 1991 right? So if the deal with the IMF was made then when we were in recession and closed almost 20 years later when we in a boom then is Dookeran fault? When he was in Central Bank how was inflation and food prices? Oil was $9.50 a barrel and we stayed steady, now we seeing oil prices in the 70's and the people not seeing it.
UNC supporters aren't seeing the facts when it comes down to Panday, Jack and Ramesh and it happening right now, not 20 years ago. Ramesh like a corbeau, only showing up when the party has all the life taken out of them but apparently they need him to win. The facts are:
Ramesh cut a deal with the PNM to put the UNC out of office.
Jack has been investigated many time over his dubious business practices. Even with football he didn't do it for the love of the game but only was looking to profit off anything.
Panday cut too much backdoor deals to remain in power in his party. He cut down anyone who had a chance to take over.
Panday has been convicted of corruption in public office and faces a retrial. If he becomes PM would he be taking time off to go to court? I personally think that he was persecuted because of political motivation but the courts did find him guilty and he only got out of jail because of him 'poor health'.
Thats just touching the surface with those three.

Aye CM 103 wha happen to yuh. Ramesh is the new messiah. Yuh suppose to forget wha happen in 2001. Suffice it to say, when de PNM 1 seat away from a constitutional majority, we know Tabaquite will be voting with dem if the great betrayer is elected there. But then again nothing happened in 2001.

Sorry fellas Dooks not in Jack league, Jack is a self made man no one gave him anything he worked hard and has progress so give the man credit for what he has achieved, talk all you want about Jack thief this and that the fact of the matter is he does not need T&T politics to survive and some of you cant handle that, anyway back to the topic.
If Ramesh runs for that seat all yuh blue eye boy in real trouble :D
nu uh... Ramesh eh no messiah... he only dere conveniently... until the 'great one' needs him.. he will get discarded jus like before an jus like de others..Ramesh defend bas in court and when Bas done he only thank he daughter... some gratitude... but Ramesh have he own agenda as well.. he know that he is a political dead (accordin to Patos)... an he aint have no shame to go back to the same party that he helped to bring down from gov't because of corruption...
Why don't the UNC supporters defend all that corruption and then justify why those ppl esp Bas should be voted back into gov't...
