Wait, so she have cirren to mind? Well then I take back my comment. There's no way to justify such personal indulgences, at the expense of primary responsibilities (feeding and taking care of cirren).

I still say the concept of having "food" and "furnishings" is overrated, though. Life is about being happy, after all.

We charge it to our plastics and think nothing about who pays for it when we can't. We are poor and not waithing anymore, as we have have learned how to live as some of the rich, and how to be as exploitative as the rest of society. Whose revenge they call that again?

Who is poor anymore? Only the ethical and that bred is fast dying. We eat, drink and merry on plastics, and we wonder how we do it. No one has the patience to wait anymore. When we tell the little ones who can't wait how we used to do it, they tell us that was in your days. We are not waiting.

I wouldn't lend money to anyone like that if I knew what their priorities were before they asked for a loan. If I made that mistake once it would not be repeated. My idea of being broke is having all my bills paid up to date and my cupboards full of food with clothes (not designer but well chosen and smart if it needs to be) on my back. After that I'll look for leisure, the paid kind if I can afford it or I have a good mind to think of lots of inventive ways that doesn't cost much or anything at all.

I read somewhere that the U.S. has a saving rate of minus half a percent. ie the vast majority of Americans are deep deep in debt...and with the US economy teetering on the edge of a recession that makes for a very bad outlook.

they said that the last time US savings was that low was in the middle of the Great Depression.

i guess everybody has to determine the priorities in their lives.

i find i spend way too much money on frivolous things and entertainment, when i really should try to SAVE more...

but i would NEVER borrow money from someone to fuel my entertainment budget...

We all go through the 'immortal stage' where we will be young and carefree forever; thank goodness for sensible people it doesn't last very long  ; and once reality sets in, it is always good to have those memories to fall back on for the days when things are a little more 'restrictive'
