OK, so I've looked at my interaction on this particular forum and find that of late I seem to be involved and responding to 'every thread'.
Why? Why is Snow on line so much? Is Snow too opinionated? Does Snow not have a life?
The Answer....... SNOW, yes, but not me, the real stuff on the ground. For me, as a Retiree and housebound in the colder months (I hate Winter) this forum provides a great distraction. So what's your excuse  Why do you visit forums such as these?

I am usually researching work-related stuff on the net when I'm signed on. It serves as a distraction while I'm waiting for the pages to load. Sometimes I'm signed on but not even in my office.
I like the characters and I learn stuff. And when I'm having a horrid day it provides some kinda cyber support.

Do you know that in 'another life' when I managed a team of people, the company's policy was you could be dismissed for 'Surfing the Net' during working hours; they even had it set up so I could log on from my desk to see what you had on your screen at any given time  Think how loved I was

As long as the computer on, I don't even realise that I'm 'logged' on to ttol and after responding to my mails, I automatically come in here. I even think of you all when I don't come in here. ...... especially when I'm responding to someone's PM and the site fails me like on Saturday..... I was writing a nice nice piece to one of my cyber friends and it got lost.......anyways! Sometimes it is nice to chat with people in cyber space who you don't know, than people who you do know, who PRETEND to be your friends but instead they are busy stabbing your back in reality. Sometimes it's a space to get away from the stupid deadlines that would take a couple hours to do instead of a whole day and you are well caught up with your work.
There are areas of interest that I can't find people interested in offline. (You think anyone in Grenada really cares about Flow's rollout or TSTT DNS settings?) This forum has a heavy dose of expats, who I guess come here because they miss home, or whatever.
i do it at work cause i bored..and i am on 8-4 daily......but i feel i addicted to these forums... :|

Yuh got that right, everyone so often someone who walks pass my den door and hears me laughing out loud will say...... "she must be on one of those Trini sites again'
As long as I log in for work I will login on ttol, very rare I come here after I get home or weekends.

well TTOnline is one of the 6 tabs that automatically launch when i open internet explorer
i'm always online for one reason or another, sometimes this provides a needed distraction from work or helps me to think about something else and clear my mind so i can re-focus in a couple minutes...

i always have this site and a few others on the screen.
sometimes when i'm typing up reports or researching stuff for school, i would take a 5 minute break and check out this site and others. i always have my im's on.
and for some reason i am also compelled to check out computer sites selling systems and parts, read specs about them and imagine building the 'ultimate' system. :)

I, also am spending way too much time on the computer these days. I also do my banking online, so i 'check' my banks daily, my deferred compensation, my e-mail. When i retired in july, i had so much plans to keep me occupied, being on the computer wasn't one of them. I had planned to convert all my cassettes (about 500)to cd's, my records (about 300, plus) to cd's. Convert my vhs to dvd's. My daughter bought me an ipod for father's day. It holds about 20,000 tunes, i only input about 500 tunes so far, that is fewer than 50 cd's. I also had planned to go to the library for two hours each day to brushup on my spanish( florida has a large spanish-speaking population). The only plan i have stuck to so far is going to the gym on monday, wednesday, and friday, and walking about two hours monday to friday. As a matter of fact i started a walking group. I used to walk on tuesday and thursday, but that's too much walking, so now i dedicate tuesday, thursday, and saturday mornings to do my yoga, and karate. My friends say i excercise to much for an old man. I will be 64yrs young on the 6th of feb. I tell them i want to be the healthiest 80yr old man in OCALA, when i get there. Also i am not as reading as much as i had planned. SO EXPECT TO SEE REWER POST FROM ME.

I doh need a reason. I addicted to discussions. I eh care if is on this site or some other site. I like to discuss topics. I like to laugh and I love/need to learn. Whether I apply the things I learn to my life or not is another matter...but what I pick up here is and has been very helpful to me. The good and the bad.
I have learnt to be tolerant of others opinions whether i agree or not, I have learnt to wait (posting then waiting for page to reload), I have met some interestingly annoying people, scary people, funny, intelligent, good hearted people, and people who no matter their differences with me I can still respect on any given day.
Saying that it still have the odd freakoh who I wish trip and fall in a latrine eh but...
I just like it here. I am on other forums but I eh feel for them jess yet...I have to be in de mood to diversify and then ah go bounce.
Plus what ah go do without most of all yuh telling me thing on here?
P.S. Vaio haul yuh tail...at least i only have like 20 posts compared to your 7 million and yuh think yuh addicted? wow...yuh in denial bard bard.

Kudos to you DANCERBOY, keep it up (no knee or hip replacement for you  ), wish I had your dedication. Right now the biggest bone of contention I have with both my Cardiologist and my Naturopath is the fact that I do not walk enough  According to them, experising my 10 fingers on the keyboard doesn't count as daily exercise

I spend a lot of time on the computer, reading my emails and various newspapers as well as doing my banking, paying bills, booking holidays, playing with photos I take with my digital camera etc or just installing new programs or taking the computer apart for upgrades (I built this one from scratch - my first). I belong to a couple of Trini forums. I work shifts so I am often home during the day. I sometimes work from home (task related - just get the task done and email it to the office) so I listen to music online while I work. I also have a little sideline and I do this work on the computer.
So, from time to time I just log into this forum and sometimes I get involved in a discussion with my fellow trinis, sometimes not.
I think when I retire in June next year, I will probably find even more things to do on the computer.
well, i was seriously addicted to the original forum with all the old ppl...now not so much but i still cant seem to not load this page...i dunno why....
boredom on work most of the time. honestly cant member how i first found here though

Online is one word.
Thanks Huma; just made a request to have it corrected.
I applaud you for the time you dedicate to 'quality control' on TTOL.
Will do my utmost to maintain a standard that is higher than other fourms out there.

I come here because I was told that there'd be 'free' punch and pie but alas I have to pay for it...
This is one of the forums which I post a lot on just to air my views,be entertained and learn new things.

I study and work in IT. So my computer is always on, be it at home or in work. The internet remains connected 24/7 in both cases of course, and its use is integrated into my everyday activities. I drop by TTonline whenever I can perhaps mostly out of habit. It doesn't take much to open one extra tab in Firefox. And once I get involved in a discussion I like to check back and see its progress.
