broadcasting short courses

anybody ever did those 'institute of broadcasting careers' or 'announcers broadcast academy' short voicetraining and editing courses?

i wanted to do one, just for the hell of it, but am wondering what the material is like and what reviews they get...

I do not know where you are I know some friends who interned at local cable stations (USA and Canada) and were able to go on to better things because they got involved from the ground up and contributed to the programme format for their internship. ALot of those broadcasting courses tend to charge a lot and you are not exposed to the whole operation!
