My 9 month old baby boy eats EVERYTHING. His favorite food is brocolli with garlic and olive oil. i personally feed him anything i eat, dahl rice, peas, roti, chinese, thai, curry - all with a dose of pepper sauce. all the books i read and even when visiting the doctor, they all say babies should eat specific foods at certain ages. i don't believe that one at all.
what do you all feed your babies, grandbabies, neices, nephews?

my friend is having problems with her son eating proper food...she said he will eat his fruits fine, but won't eat his main food. She said he hardly drinks during the day as well.....and then in the evening he will drink his bottle of water in one go..

All those foods are great but with all due respect, I don't think you should put pepper sauce on a baby's diet. :? (
littleone your baby has a good appitite eh I would continue to feed him the foods you eat, I doh eat my food with pepper ah hope the poor chile eh making no funny sounds wen the pepper burn him. Btw drs do tell you to have a feeding plan according to age but its just using ur own judgement

the odder day i sitting feeding him mashted potatoes, kelbasa and brocolli and the boy take ah whole brocolli spare and push it in he mouth yes. like he tought i was going to eat all and not give him he fair share.
the ONLY thing i don't feed him is nuts and honey.

Littleone I have a 3 year old and I treated her like your son when she was little. Everything I ate, she ate...pepper and all.
To this day she prefers ANY veggie or fruit to cookies or even ice cream.....it's so weird!
I have no idea where she got that from....because I love sweets

i does make sure he takes his liquid vitamins every day just in case he not getting all his nutrients from his food. but dat boy could eat. when he sleeping in he crib if he only smell food he does get up. it's a good thing though. i wouldn't want no fussy chile who does only eat rice and butter or some odder craziness.
you are doin great littleone...and the veggies are very important so that's a def plus :P
I heard they want to pull the otc cough and cold medicines, so allyu mite have to go back to using in home remedies

I swear by vicks (or the generic brand) when my daughter has a cough. The people at her preschool knows when she has a cold they could smell her coming a mile away! :D I rub her down from head to toe....just like my mother did to me.
I did that with my kids as well! so this is a trend thats repeated from one generation to the next
my kids are older take lime an honey cough and rub down with vicks, sap dey head with limacol or bayrum

Right now I am going through my paces with preparing meals for my 2 year old grandchild; unlike her 6 year old cousin, she eats everything HOWEVER, what may have been 'yummy' yesterday can be 'yucky' tomorrow
There isn't anything she really doesn't like (unlike the 6 year old who 'hates' everything'). She loves fruit, vegetables, (especially peas, beans and lentils) However like I said if she loved a particular dish today doesn't necessarily mean she will like it tomorrow. I have become very good at hiding foods so she is not aware what she is eating. For instance, some days her 'creamed soup' is actually a combination of vegetables, lentils and chicken that I've pureered. I try varying her menu by alternating cooked and raw vegs; if she doesn't take the cooked one at lunch, I try giving her the raw one as a snack later that day.
I think as long as I stick to the four good groups she'll be fine.
Oh by the way, for a while there I was on a roll as she loved 'spinach' callaloo, however right now it's on her 'yucky' list  .

I did the same thing with my daughter . And she was a high risk premature baby ,
I have no problem what so ever with her eating . She eats EVERYTHING from caraili to mashed potatoes , you name it she eats it .
As Dr.Bratt said ... have you ever tasted those Gerber baby food and cereal ?......they are really horrible. I never fed those thing to my daughter. They conatin citric acid.
Children develop a sense of taste while they are in the womb . They taste everything we eat while pregnant .So from that I think it's safe to feed your baby whatever you ate while pregnant , peppersauce and all . I did it and she's still alive and has no promblem with heat or rashes or constipation.

Guys, ulcers develop over the years....just because you may not see the effects now does not mean you won't see it in the future. Peppersauce should not be part of an infant's diet at all. (even more if is a true Trini peppersauce   )
I know this girl on her 20's who has an ulcer due to the fact that she ate peppersauce since she was a baby, the woman is on and off the hospital constantly.
Take care of little tummies.

I eating peppersauce since i was a baby and i'm much much older than 20 . I have no ulcers nor suffer from heat burn .
So i'm sure it's not olny the perrsauce that caused her ulcers . Alcohol could be one reason even if it's in a magarita once a year.
If eating peppersauce since childhood causes ulcers then all mexicans will be dead . Cus they bit pieces of chilies while eating and this is done from early on.
