Look at this idiot.
Corinna, 47, is part of a new firm specialising in adrenalin-fuelled slaughter breaks for bloodthirsty females.

Modern day version of journalism. Infotainment. Got a few pics; got an idea for a provocative story; put it all together and publish. Get paid. Who cares if the impression given is quite a stretch from reality.

Some people really have a thirst for blood. Makes me wonder abt hunting humans, but I wouldn't doubt it if thts already done.

I'm pretty sure that's former US VP Dick Cheney's favorite sports with his shotgun.

I wonder if they bite/eat the raw flesh or lick/drink the blood of their kill.

As long as it is not an endangered species I don't see a problem with countries making a living from it. New generations are evolving into a bunch of baby criers. We are all made to believe that meat comes from the supermarket.

You think they ate the bear? The pumas? The hippo?
When the next short sharp step is GBH or murder, then people like to start paying fortunes to criminologists to find out why.

I think it's mostly a hyped up story perhaps bearing 10% relation to reality to stir up controversy emotions divisions.

It will be consumed all right. Just think of it as a charitable donation to those other wild animals. In the wild nothing is wasted.

I had the same emotions when I came to Canada. I used to donate to Green Peace but after learning the politics I had second thoughts. The only project i see worthwhile is saving the whales from Japanese consumption, which they call "Research."

Huh?? But lex, the Japanese 'use' those whales. Nothing about an obsession with killing or domination.......
Dont get me wrong, I am against that specific brand of whaling, but I dont see how youre supporting one and not the african game scenario.

I will support the ban on any threatened species. But for others I have no problem if the game reserves have to make some cash so that it would be used to manage the parks and provide some work for the locals. Do you know how much is paid to get a trophy? It is in the thousands of dollars.

Yes, it is a lot of money.
My concern is the collateral damage to society which occurs, or which is encourages to occur.
I read last week or the week before that whales were out of danger. Will try to find the article.

In Africa those game reserves are regulated. Same in Canada for the hunting season. Collateral damage like hunting the rhinos for their horns is illegal. If there is no collereral damage to society now there is little chance of it happening as long as it is well managed. There are game reserves all over the world that raise animals especially for hunting. Even tribes in Africa own and run some of these hunting grounds.

Cats arent endangered. But this is the social damage ........
A cat killer has been jailed for 16 weeks after he picked up the animal by its hind legs and swung it head-first into a wall four times.

This is the making of a serial killer.
No one benefits from this.

Lex, more serial killers in the making:

THIS is the moment a dog was found buried alive up to its nose after being shot 40 TIMES - but still miraculously survived.
Crossbreed Star was discovered after rescuers heard his whimpering when he was cruelly dumped in a shallow grave

I think there is a great need for game reserves in these areas that are breeding potential serial killers.

Interesting that you should choose those particular three, Falcs.
I can personally vouch for the zebra and the kudu which I had in Southern Africa. Very delicious.
Oh, and what about Sarah Palin?

That is a reindeer or caribou. I had some earlier this year from someone working up north, but it was too lean. Needed to add some fat to give it a better taste. I hope to be getting some musk ox later this year. By then I will check out the net for a recipe.
