Right now, Toronto is a little warmer than normal. This morning it was sunny and had to wear shades driving in. Haven't worn shades in about 2 months. But weekend is going to be cold. Yesterday it was a little icy. When this happens we always hear of horrible car crashes. Crashes happen up further north from lake Ontario where it's colder. The lakes keep it warmer than up north.

Also what wasn't stated with regard to the Ontario weather this year (South Western Ontario - Toronto) is that this year we have had very unusual weather. We generally don't get a good and lasting snow fall until January, this year it started in early November; we generally have a cold snap around now, right now we are up and down like a roller coaster; last week at this time it was 10 degrees, today it is minus 3.

In other words, this year it is not typical at all, we seem to be all over the map, as a result, eveyone and his brother seems to be nursing a cold of some sorts

Thw weather in OCALA,FLORIDA is generally tropical (like TRINIDAD) year round. However, we have had a few very cool days in the past two weeks. You needed a sweater in the early morning, but it warms up by ten in the A.M . The sun sets at about 5.30.

Floridia can get pretty cold. I was going through there on the way to CES, and damn, I needed a thick jacket just to feel warm.

As for my present location (GND)...

High of 30, low of 23.
Rain in rainy season.
otherwise sunny.

Yea, that's about it.

Today is a little colder than yesterday but no sunshine. During the cold spells that Snowbird talked about we usually get sunshine - Col like arse but atleast it looks nice through a window. Many people here suffer from a disease called SAD (Seasonal A??? disorder) which is mild depression due to no sunshine. Was watching a show last night that Vit D can help with this. Ah need some Vit D!

Dramatically........ When I first came to Canada 40 years ago, the seasons were pretty much the same year after year, you could set your clock by them the weather was so constant and predictable; changes started around the same time and ended around the same time; farmers were able to plant and reap their crops just based in the calendar.

Recently in the last decade or so, we seem to be all over the place; thank God for Scientific Weather Forecasting, which helps us to at least live and cope with the inconsistent weather patterns we have been having of late.

Right now It dark as hell looking like 9pm instead of 5 28pm. Just now sudden and fierce rain fall for all of 5 minutes with lighting and thunder  Global warming messing up a lot of things too eh. Like last week my friend and I chatting on msn messenger and she is in New York and telling me how she feel to play hooky from work as it so darn sunny and hot today. I was like :o yuh home in Trinidad and eh say nothing? She was like  no loser it's like summer here today and realll people walking about in shorts and casual summer clothing enjoying the weather.

Last year I can recall snow and tons of it in New York around this time of year. What is really going on dread?

i didnt know it was always around in t'dad tho.
i dont remember fog at mornings when i used to wait for transport to go to school back in 1990's.
i've only noticed it these past few years.

i dunno if its just me, but over the past few years, early mornings (3-6am) have been colder than what i remember from my schooldays.

In addition to taking lots of oral vitamin D, you can also satisfy your vitamin D requirement by using a SAD LAMP. It is a special type of lamp that in effect (tricks your body) to do the same thing it does when you are in the sun; while it does produce the positive effects of vitamin D, I think, like every thing else, you need the real thing, which is why I am still trying to get my doctor to give me a prescription for some...... NEW YORK weather sucks this morning. It is snowing. I turned on the tv, and saw all the school closing. I looked outside and the snow is still coming down. My soon to be 60 year old grand daughter has school this morning. GUESS WHAT? she is not going to school today. But the 12 year old, already said granddaddy i 'have to go' to barbizon (modelling school) for rehearsal this evening at 3 o'clock. So ah hope by noon most of the snow is either washed away or shovelled. Takling about shovel, i have to go outside and shovel snow.
