A friend of mine just came back from holidays and said how she treated her self to 4 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes....(these average about £350 ea) Is that a treat...or just frivolous?? If I could I would spend that money on shoes...but I think my money could be better spent elsewhere. Hmm I wonder if I ah lil bit jealous.... :|

if i can afford it... i'll do it..... eg. my hubby wld spend abt $4,000 on t-shirts every year..football shirts and they all look the same to me.... :| .....black and white with the club's logo...he says that its a treat to himself cause he works so hard..... and i agree....i do the same but on other things... :D

I would rather spend on gear for my bike or walking gear....I guess to each his own...or her own in this case...I do love shoes mind you ....but can't handle those spike...killer heels... :lol:

I have made the effort to try to treat myself at least once a month. Doesn't have to be big but even a lil something. Becos I just never spent on myself.

i've been trying to make the effort to treat myself. The last person I usually shop for is myself. Thank the Lord I have a really good bf! My baby just treated me to a whole new wardrobe filled with dresses and shoes! Such a sweet man.

I eh spending £325 on shoes unless I am in the price range of 6 million quid in meh personal bank account. Sorry, it is wayyyyyy too frivolous to buy 3 in one go and not just one a month or every few months. But as we all know...to each their own. I does do my hair once a month and my hair is expensive if I choose to get expensive hair. Then there is the upkeep products and accessories and to pay for labour.

I shop during sales or I live in Primark or Peacocks. Selfridges only during a sale and I worked for a designer so high priced clothes doh bun meh eye. Bags well lawd...I need a new wadrobe overhaul. I bought one from Paul Smith where I used to work in our staff sample sale for £60 online and in stores it's three times that eh :shock: Yuh think ah wouldah buy it at full price? yuh must be smoking biscuit.

Agreed. As a Leo and a big spender, $ is made to be spent! Of course, I save a lot too. But as someone said every month I try to treat myself a little. I remember spending $2000 in November last year (on clothes, shoes, jewellery etc). Plus everytime I go Micles or Wonderful World (not often) I have to buy something.

Of course treating yourself could mean other things too. I used to go out to eat at fancy places, last year I spent $600 to stay for 3 days in Tobago, I bought my laptop, my $ mostly goes in food! :lol: I like to treat my mouth! Haagen Daaz ice cream, Ruby Tuesdays asian potstickers....whatever I'm feeling for!

I always treated myself, but not every month. I like to travel so at least once a year since 1983 I treated myself to a vacation. AH DOH MEAN GO TO TRINIDAD AND STAY BY FAMILY EH, BUT I DID THAT TOO. And i am hoping to continue, even though i am retired.

I have no special time to treat myself and I do so very often. Forget hairdos, facials and manicures, my daughters do a wonderful job on me, even my almost 8 yr old is trying to do get in the act. :lol:

im allergic to a few things soo i cant eat out. i spend money on speciality ingredients and make my own food. the other day i bought salt fish.....£3.50 for 2 stingy piece ah fish...but i make buljol an fry bake...that wash down with some over priced milo!!!

oh ohhhhhh poor baby. Where I live in East London we have a high incidence of Afro-Caribbean people so the Huge Tescos has to provide an aisle of our food and breads. I cyah stand the hard crust bread if is for sammich but I guess for soups yes.

My friend from Grenada cud make callaloo wid spinach. At first I doubted she eh but when she make it I had to look to see if she did secretly buy de real bush and use it. There was absolutely no diff. NONE! :lol:

Quite a few of us here in North America use spinach when we cannot get dasheen bush, have been doing it for years :lol:
