The idea how we act is increasingly unrelated to how old we are - a peneomenon
that is leading us to live agelessly. People now assume all options are open to them,
from youth into old age. What are your thoughts?

Yes. With advancements in medicine - all options to all ages. It might just take a little while for the pill to take effect.

A lifetime journey

With happiness, grief, joy, sadness, and finally memories. It is an exciting journey.

and he died.

In despair as in love, we are above all else, alone.

You can stay young as long as you learn,
acquire new habits and suffer contraditions.

Youth is wasted on the young. How apposite that is. Yet in early adulthood, we are also aware - albeit frequently at a subconscious level - of our own pulling power, just as we are somehow enraptured with the notion that with absolute determination, we can make things happen and control others destines. While riven with insecurities, I use to dare to attempt the unattainable in a way that I simply would not have had the confidence - or hubris, immorality or foolhardiness - to do later. There is glory in simple, steady togetherness. I think that the old madness, the old ectasy, is there to be tapped into creativity, in whatever form one's inventiveness takes, and then kept there, while we get on with the business of living and growing older.

No young man ever believes he shall die.

Ageing is about losing our youth and finding a varicose vein. It is about
fighting your children and making peace with your parents. It is on
reflecting on the past, thinking of the future, and facing our mortality.
It is gaining wisdom and mislaying our reading glasses. It is about how
we want to be remembered and what we want to forget. Throughout
time people have feared ageing, laughed at it, cried about it, defied it
accepted it - written about it. Anon said
Age comes in on little crow feet
and the Chinese proverb goes
Even a great feast has a last course.

As a child learns good manners, learn to control your passions.
In middle age, be just. In old age, give good advice. Then die,
without regret.
