I supported the UNC in the past against the PNM but they are now too much one man and not enough party or country minded.
No UNCA supporter has ever been able to answer the questions I have asked above. Panday is hellbent on only bad talking other parties and retaining power for his own gain. There is nothing new and we will remain in the same rut while he settles his own political agendas if he is elected into office.
I maintain that rally attendance is no substitute for performance in the polls, the UNCA is not alive but just a jump-and-wine session session on a Sunday.

Don't need vibes or crowd pleasers. If you don't have the answers then just say so, your party is no different. Enjoy yourself, the real party already done with their rally and down to business now.
How much longer will Kamla hold out for some table scraps from her power hungry leader? Add that to the list of unanswered questions I've asked of the UNCA supporters.
peanut: If that happens then I would say that they do have some sort of hope. Panday brings nothing new to the party and those that support his brand of politics are blind to everything else.

She was very impressive. The people love her. She sounded like she she was saying she ready for the position of PM. She say when things did not go her way she stayed in the party she did not leave. When her colleagues displayed their macho attitude she took it with a smile. PNM tell her 3 yrs ago they have an offer she cannot refuse, she did not budge.
Now the newspaper saying she was offered the position of president but that is a lie. She said that if she is offered that position she will have to say no because she is a representative of the people and that is her calling.

Surprisingly large turnout. With all the attractions I expected a large crowd consisting of both UNCA supporters and people there just for the fete...but I have to admit they did well. It went downhill for me when Panday went up and start to bawl corpse this and corpse that, and then said he was making Kamla...head of the women's arm of the UNC army? Eh? Dais it? They really need to keep that man away from the microphone.
Allyuh realize what happening here right? UNCA getting a huge following. COP getting not as large a following, but still a significant one. PNM will still come out on top. Panday has done two things that seriously jeopardize any chance of serious accommodation talks with the COP. The only way not to split the vote is to stop acting like children. If Panday had made Kamla UNC leader and not spewed his corpse nonsense I would be ready to get on my soapbox about Dookeran if he eh sit down to talks with the UNCA. Now as it stands, if Dookeran say once again he not entertaining talks with the UNCA, I will say the UNCA look fuh dat.

The amazing thing about this is that the UNCA created a great illusion. They know how to play the game. It was a fantastic show but not convincing to me. The politics got lost in there somewhere. Martin Luther King's son had a decent speech about the thermometer and the thermostat in regulating the course of history. The guy from the Ghandi Foudation seemed to be overwhelmed by the occassion.
The entertainment, presentation was spot on. I enjoyed it.

I did end up watching it and can agree. A lot of flash but little substance. There are too many questions and potential problems in re-electing a UNC party back into power at this time.
All those voters who said they were going back will prob make the switch again before the polls. The UNC basically have enough rope to hang themselves at this point.

Mr Peanut,
when did you liase between Panday and Ramesh to put aside their differences in the interest of the people. Was it when they destroyed the UNC government and dashed the hopes of the people, or is it now when they are crawling back on their bellies grovelling and begging the same people they both betrayed, to vote for them again? All that they deserve is a good bull pistle. Panday is like a cow that give a full pail of milk and then kick it down, in essence NFG.
The rest of the sycophants in the UNC was unable then and are unable today to tie that cow foot. That is a good for nothing beast as talented as it is. :x

She is sounding as if she is giving a farewell speech.
She sounded like she telling the UNC men and she supporters that I am woman, i am strong, I didnot betray you, I smart, I wukk hard and I ready to be the PM.
DAmn straight DAT IS WOMAN!!!!!!!!!
Isn't it sad though that after all her years in politics, after all she had done for her country, after all that she has done for her party, she still has to continue to prove herself.
Think for a moment, had she been a man would she have had to prostrate herself like that before thousands of so called 'supporters'; it boggles my mind why she or any woman would even want to be part of that type of organization.
She may be a woman, but in that instance...... pretty pathetic; dignity should never be for sale.

I empathise with Kamla as I know her and her family personally. The UNC has been again hoodwinked by Panday because Kamla is the one with the best hope of getting the disappointed and disgusted to return to the fold.
As things stand she will have a tough battle to retain her seat with perrenial favorite Govindra Roopnarine, whom I also know personally, contesting for COP, and to whom she has lost before by a very wide margin before.

All parties have their internal problems some of you acting like the COP does not or at least that is the perception that COP and the media would love to give, As for the Rally one it just goes to show when people with something between their ears work what they can produce the stage setting was excellent the best in all the party launching.
The UNCA had all their bases covered for full crowd participation, and the program moved without a hitch, they had a place for the media, and cameras at every vantage point taking pictures of the crowd to add to the content we even got an aerial view in case anyone wanted to dispute crowd size.
The people came out so all this talk about UNCA in trouble, it shrinking, COP has 80% of the base it sure does not look so to me, maybe Yetming needs to go back and check his figures all I can see the UNCA doing from here on is building already there has been calls to the radio station of persons changing their tune and saying they are going back home to the UNCA.
Maybe it is true a day in politics is a very long time :D

Just got off the phone with a few friends from San Fernando who are former UNC supporters and internal party members. They now support the COP due to Panday's short sightedness.
They all went to the UNC rally today. I refuse to call it the Alliance as there is none. How many help would 6 other political parties bring if all their candidates would most likely lose their deposits independently?
The UNC provided them with free transportation and t-shirts and they were treated to the a great free cultural show. About 6 maxis of them went up to MidCenter. None of them were voting for UNC. The standing joke on the trip was that Jack was paying entertainment for his opponents. There was also 3 containers of t-shirts handed out.
My cousin was also paid about $400 to bring up 4 people to the rally. The main draw of that party was the cultural show. I'm sure they were not alone in their reason for attendance.
Anyone else notice what percentage of people polled by Ansa/McAl wanted Panday or Kamla as PM? Single digits. And thats asking people directly, not estimating from a concert attendance.

10-07-2007, 11:36 PM
Well based on the pappyshow that the UNC brought out I would guess that more people came for the entertainment than the free jersey and transport.
Since the last few polls have seen that less than 10% of the population would like to see the UNC back in power do you really think that they would have such a big turnout just to support them?
Same old khaki pants with no substance, plenty mud slinging and empty promises from the same old tired UNC stalwarts who have no political life except what Panday hands them. If he doesn't even know if his wife takes money to send their children to school then how can he keep on top of running a country?
Since Jack is now the only UNC financier then when time come to pay the piper what would he want? Jack done take a pound of flesh to take us to the world cup and now he have political aspirations. Now Ramesh back in there when he conspired with the PNM to remove the UNC a few years ago? The days of Ramesh and Panday teaming up done.
People open your eyes, Panday selling the country and party to try and regain power. Kamla wasn't crying tears of emotion for her party, she was crying tears for what her party has done to her. Head of the womens alliance? That is a harsh joke and not the first time she was thrown under the bus by her party.

Got that right.
Them polls that putting down the UNC are a bunch of hogwash if you ask me. Up to this day, no one that I know has been polled by these famous "pollsters" that the media keeps talking about. Apparently they only take random polls inside of COP and PNM meetings.
45,000 plus at the UNC-A Rally. (police estimate)
7 different media persons said that the crowd was at least twice as large as both the COP and PNM (individual) crowds from the previous day.
Surely more than 50% of that crowd were UNC-A supporters. I think it would be safe to say that about 85% of the crowd were supporters and about 15% were freeloaders/spies/what ever you want to call them.
The way I see it, the UNC-A would be the party to beat this rounds.
COP and PNM running scared now. :ugeek: :P

Well I know of at least 4 people who were polled at least twice so far. Trying to discredit the polls to make yourself feel better doesn't really have any merit. You think Ansa/McAl and UWI would jeopardize their reputations just to make it look so?
From your maths there you estimating over 38k were there to support the UNC. The polls are a more scientific measure of support mean more than any rally support could and they saying otherwise. How many people you think stayed away from the COP and PNM rallies because it was pouring rain?
COP rally came in around 35k btw. And thats from the amount of wristbands given out at the gates, not any police estimates. Oh and the people I mentioned my cousin was paid to bring to the rally...they were contractors and they were given $400 each to bring their workers to boost numbers.
UNC losing more seats this rounds. Nobody backing any opposition alliance and a year old party has commanded a following that cannot be ignored. All because of the leadership of the UNC which can fool some, but not all.
All allyuh watching rally numbers, keep looking. The real fight is between the PNM and COP but you'll can continue counting concert attendees.

funny a COP person told me 7k, but I guess our crowd have you all pretty worried now eh? So now you gonna grasp at all kinda straws to discredit it - The message from this crowd was a clear message to Yetming- You don't have no 80% of the UNC Base, the UNC Alliance is strong and going!!!!!!

When the COP done I wonder how Jack Warner never made the million mans list of Forbes, they must forget Jack I will have to send them an email and remind them that there is a man in T&T that they keep passing by Donald Trump and Bill Gates have nothing with him he real loaded. COP saying 3 containers of T-shirts and other things, 4 million for the show, and 1millon a month Jack spending :D :D
Al yuh wanted crowd all yuh get crowd now deal with it, give the dam people credit nah they pull it off after all the old talk that UNCA dead, Panday is the most hated man, Kamla going COP give it a rest now, they did well when everyone was expecting this to be a flop they pull it off just goes to show while the COP spending their days and nights talking nonsense the UNCA people working the ground holding on to their base.
The COP with the farse self move into Woodford Sq brag and boast how the in PNM stronghold and the take Woodford Sq, well PNM get vex and fill the place people like sand, while big mouth Anil telling the park crowd that rain wash out the PNM gathering in the square, when will the COP learn :D
The fact of the matter is that it was a success now people calling the radio stations all evening saying they went COP but now they going back to the arms of the UNC they going home  some saying the COP starting to look too much like the NAR and they cannot forget what was done to the small man in those NAR days, some leaving COP because Ramesh back, some like the unity call all the phone ringing off the hook saying they coming home to the UNCA once again, all you have to do is turn on your radio on the Indian stations and hear for yourself.
COP wanted to go it alone, all yuh follow Ganga, Yetming and Sadiq with their nonsense when the dust is clear all you will see is the spot where these fellas were standing, they try a thing now it starting to look shaky watch and see what will happen in the coming days, as Manning said he gave the both parties enough time to get their act together but when egos get too big and people head start to swell like they get dumb everyone starts to feel they are the new messiahs of the Indo people, but looks like the people outside smarter than those in the COP because the people was warning Dookeran about what may happen. :o

Well I thought you would have come with some sensible argument. Guess that was asking too much as you have not made any kind of point.I must give people credit for drawing crowd for a concert? That when the polls every week showing no support for the UNC? Jack footing the bill and he go want payback when d time come. UNC finances running almost solely on him now.
Every UNC supporter conveniently decides to forget that their own political leader was thrown under the bus by power hungry party members this very week. Then she was given a token position to prevent her running away. If that is how they move with their own then imagine if they were in power.
Everybody except PNMites called Ramesh a traitor in 2002, now he is a savior because the ship sinking and those who still have their own brains and inside are leaving before they go down with it.
Panday will never see the PM seat again. His time has come and gone, time for some fresh minds to take over and manage before the money done and we have nothing saved for tomorrow.
You might be a little young to remember when oil was under $10US a barrel and we had no inflation and food price hikes like we have now when oil is over $75 a barrel. You know who was the Minister of Finance and then later the Central Bank Governor?
Time to stop voting your parents politics and come out for a new day.

Although I admire Kamla and I understand that she is liked and respected by a cross-section of the nation, I cannot understand her mis-guided loyalty.Loyalty is admirable, but she needs to ask herself what is she loyal too? It sounds more like a sadistic/masochist relationship, a relationship many abused pple fall into, or the Hellsinki syndrome. Perhaps she is now totally submissive and accept the roll of the abused woman of even love her abuser!! I hope not! Wake up and walk out Kamla, Panday will not change his stripes now. The UNC Rally was impressive, but I think it was smaller than both COP and PNM, the space was much smaller than Woddford Square and Skinner Park. Also, I know quite a few COP supporters that went for the entertainment and free food. It would have been interesting to see the crowd for a straight presentation of candidates and no news about Kamla. And El Dorado Cooperative? Of course it going to be packed because it even smaller than Mid Center. Why are they doing this? Does that mean that if there is an accomodation, the usual dead beats not getting a seat. You thought wrong there.
Media personnel who were present at PNM and COP rallies the day before said that the UNC-A crowd was double that of the other 2 parties.
Police estimates were over 45,000 in the crowd.
From the aerial shot taken from the helicopter it was clear that the crowd present at the UNC-A rally was one of the largest ever seen in T&T.
The mall compound was packed, the streets and the highway was overflowing with UNC-A supporters. Some people who couldn't make with the crowd were in their cars tuned in to the live broadcast.

Because I have no time with pointless discussions, but when someone comes up with a jackass statement like putting Inshan and morality in one sentence I really have to question what kind of "brilliant minds" you all profess to be

Like I said, I have no time for pointless discussions, but when I see people talking out of their ass, making statements like putting Inshan and morality in the same sentence, I have to wonder, for people who try to project that they're brilliant, what the hell they really thinking? And then the same people want to be making posts insulting people, but make stupid statements like that? Be Real.

It is pointless to have any discussion about the morality possessed by Panday and Jack. Its a dead argument I agree.
I have never professed to be brilliant but if you assume that of me and had that hope I do thank you for the compliment.
If you had a point you would make it but apparently you don't. I really wonder what the current UNC supporters are thinking when they see their party and any chance of opposition unity being dashed by one man with his own selfish agenda. But then again, you make your bed, you lie in it.

You have to take us on this forum for a bunch of fools if you think we're going to believe "but I think it was smaller than both COP and PNM".
Media Personnel??? Police??? Get real. There is no way Mid Center packed could hold more people than Skinner Park and Woodford Square half filled. And both meetings were more than half filled. Plus, I know quite a few people who were there because of the entertainment and did not support the UNC. But if you want to kid yourself about the crowd go ahead. There is no way 45,000 people could have fit in that space.

I happen to know Mr. Ishmael for about 10 years and don't know anything immoral that he has done. I would be happy if you could enlighten me. Further, I have heard on the radio quite a few people questioning Ramlogan and Ramadhar's morality. All I have to say about that is hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!!! Just because they have left the UNC, all of a sudden they are immoral. You all don't stop to think that these persons were Panday's personal lawyers. I also happen to know both men and they are of the highest integrity. It is amazing that in one week-end they can become immoral, whilst over the years in the UNC they were the bright young men in the party. Just think about it and see how laughable it sounds. Let us now turn to the UNC. On Thursday last, lunchtime Panday said there was no leader of the UNC-A. Judging from Kamla's reaction and Cadiz statement, this had to be a lie when he said it. Then by Thursday evening Jack was appointed leader, with Bas in a partnership. Let us now deal with Ramesh who has been welcomed with open arms. What happened in 2001? He was a neemakaram in 2001 by UNC standards, but in 2007 he is the new messiah? What changed? Look at the pattern. While in the UNC everyone is as good as gold, but the minute they leave all of a sudden they are immoral, corrupt etc. Get real! That is all the UNC is good for, character assasination when people get wise and realise that Panday is all about himself. Let him thank Jack for a wonderful meeting and the crowd that was bought. Out of 1.3 million people they were unable to attract local talent, they had to import King and the fella from the Gandhi Institute. You have a lot to be proud of.

As a matter of fact I did, as well as drove past about 5:00 p.m. If you were not that passionate, you would be able to look at things objectively. What I also noticed from the tv shots were that there were a lot of people not wearing the UNC t-shirts. There would have to be at least 20,000 people "overflowin. If it was that big, then the Co-operative would be very inadequate. Why not move to Skinner Park or the Square?

Panday was successful trade unionist and politician, who gave up allot in defense of people in Trinidad and never duck and run when his back was against the wall. He was a competent and will even go as far as say that he was the best Prime Minister sweet t&t ever had. Yes he had made bad decisions for which he had to pay dearly and still pays for. Well ent Jack hire a architect to measure Woodford square? They doing anything to discredit the COP because they scared. Go read socawarriors.net forums about Jack Warner and how his busines practices made him so successful. FIFA even pulled him up for conflict of interest for the world cup debacle. Yuh remember who overpack the stadium in 1989? Who promise the soca warriors money for playing the world cup but only give them $5k each? How come he manage to buy the broacast rights for $1 and resell them for a bundle but ent give no players any money? How come his sons get all the contracts for the Under 17 world cup?
Jack in it for Jack and allyuh really getting fooled if you think he there to try and make the country better.
I real sorry to say this but Panday et al really played into Manning's ploy. He warned that the opposition would play the race card and what we get? Panday for the Indian vote and Jack for the Negro vote. In this day and age that is a sorry state of affairs.
Wait nah that is what you have boiling up in you so.......
They could be wrong but at least they trying something to bring some unity...
Wait nah you saying them in the corpses any different......my grand mother went to she grave and still didn't not get she money from summit finance.
Dookeran lead that team with a few different faces in '91 and gave the PNM the government, and the man so smart that he doing it again.
So because of what happen over 15 years ago you not supporting a COP government but a UNC false alliance with an obvious power hungry dictator at the helm you go back to form the next government?
Panday barely holding on to his party right now. More people leaving than coming in and is a set of yes men he have there now.
The real performers done leave the UNC. Ah bet yuh jump up to stain yuh finger when they were part of the UNC.

I really like how allyuh UNC supporters could only repeat what come out your political "leaders" mouth. About corpse and duck-and-run and one set of foolishness besides the real issues. Well ent Jack hire a architect to measure Woodford square? They doing anything to discredit the COP because they scared. Panday welcome back the same man who put him out of office, for good, so he could try and make this election.
I dunno what surveys you talking about but I suggest you go find a Sunday Guardian or look up the poll results posted here by Sirius. 6% approval for Panday and 5% for Kamla don't win no elections, Jack have even less.
I would love you to show me what survey or poll recently commissioned shows the COP trailing the UNC.
All the recent polls also have majority support against any opposition alliance. Allyuh UNC supporters really blind to the facts in front of you.
You talking ANSA poll.........breds this is 2007 get real nah. That poll so skewed that it in a whole new graph.

Ramesh still run Panday out of office and he go leave this world without seeing it again. Well yuh could keep yuh mud slinging and stupid talk and we go keep on making progress. Tell Panday step aside and the opposition coalition could take place against the real enemy. They studying to fight the COP since all their support going that way and they all go end up politically dead after Nov 5th.

Anyone who thought the United National Congress (UNC) Alliance was a dead political force should now think again, political analysts Professors Selwyn Ryan and John La Guerre said yesterday.
Ryan said that the UNC Alliance's presentation of 21 candidates on Sunday, which was attended by a crowd of thousands at Mid Centre Mall in Chaguanas, may have proven to be the surprise of the election race so far.
"We certainly have a three-way fight on our hands, with outcomes at the moment that are unpredictable," Ryan said in a telephone interview.
Until Sunday, there were some who concluded that the race for the general election was only between the ruling People's National Movement (PNM) and the minority-Opposition party, the Congress of the People (COP).
UNC Political Leader Basdeo Panday has been fighting legal battles and there had also been some turmoil in the UNC Alliance, after he and UNC Deputy Political Leader Jack Warner were selected as its co-leaders.
"The UNC's display of force and energy must have come as a shock and surprise to many people who assumed that it was dead. It is clearly not dead. Panday is clearly not dead," Ryan said.
La Guerre agreed, saying, "I think a lot of people were surprised."
He added, "It certainly showed a heightened interest on the part of UNC members in the upcoming election in terms of the turnout."
He said much of the credit for that turnout should go to Warner, who, as a co-leader of the UNC Alliance, is also its chairman.
"I think that he was largely responsible for the organisation, the initiative that when into that event, which seems to have justified his selection by the leadership council as the chairman of the UNC Alliance," La Guerre said.

Ganga: Ramesh, not Winston, the Judas
Caroni East MP Ganga Singh has described former attorney general Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj as the "Judas" in the UNC Alliance camp, adding he has no right to criticise the Congress of the People (COP).
"Ramesh has no moral authority to talk about visiting every constituency to explain to people why they should not vote for the COP. First, he should explain to the same people about the done deal between Manning and himself and the conspiracy to remove the UNC from government," Singh said yesterday.
Singh said the COP is about unity and uniting the votes behind the principles and values anchored on pure dignity, "while Ramesh is a source of disunity, clearly demonstrated by his failure to embrace Kamla on the platform".
He added that Maharaj's claim to be uninterested in power or holding any office was just another form of fraud.
"Observe that Ramesh always emerges at election time. What does this action mean? It is obvious that he is hungry for political power," he said.
He added that Maharaj is on a campaign against the COP as part of a plan to have the People's National Movement remain in office.
"Ramesh Maharaj, Jack Warner and Basdeo Panday are the ones to be feared. So the Judas he (Panday) was referring to had to have been Ramesh Maharaj, a man he has reinstated on his political platform," Singh said.
On Sunday, UNC political leader Basdeo Panday said the new fearsome foursome was himself, Maharaj, UNC Alliance chairman Jack Warner and Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar. Panday has referred to COP political leader Winston Dookeran as a "Judas" for cutting ties with the party and forming his own.
"How can Basdeo Panday refer to a 'Judas' when he is entertaining one on his own stage? ... the only political leader with clean hands and a clear conscience today is the Honourable Winston Dookeran," Singh said.

'UNC Alliance rally was just a big fete'
THE UNITED National Congress Alliance's Mid Centre Mall crowd on Sunday was an illusion, and it cost $1 million in transport to take people there to fete all day, former UNC chairman Kama Maharaj has said.
He predicted that the COP would get 300,000 votes in the three-way race, and win government.
Maharaj made the comment at the opening Sunday night of the constituency office for attorney Kevin Ratiram, the COP's candidate for Oropouche West. The office is located at Lall's Shopping Complex, Debe.
Ratiram is expected to go up against the UNC's Mickela Panday and the People's National Movement's Rahgunath Mahabir.
Maharaj said he became disenchanted when Panday began selling the party to a group of financiers. He said he protested by not holding a national executive meeting for two years.
He said: "When you sell your party they own you, and you have to do whatever they want. History has repeated itself and the UNC has been sold to a single financier."
He added: "I told Mr Panday I still love him but your vehicle has broken down. You cannot win. We need a new vehicle."
Maharaj said he knew the election tricks the UNC used to make a crowd look big.
"You always go to Mid Centre Mall. I know the strategy because we always put a big stage, but this time it was twice the size.
"We put tents all around the car park and the inside gets really small. We will bring any amount of people we can find. We never knew that place could hold more than 5,000."
The UNC Alliance said there were more than 40,000 people.
But Maharaj said, "From my understanding, they spent over $1 million in transport alone to create this illusion they had all this support. Two political parties held rallies on Saturday. What we saw on Sunday was a big fete."

One more time !!! Hear this and it not coming from a UNC leader Dooks will not win his seat!!!!! :D
There is no way Dookeran can win St. Augustine. In the last polls UNC got >8K, PNM got >4k
No way more than 4k voters from UNC base leaving to vote COP. Cop votes won't matter in St. Augustine or other traditional UNC areas. How they will make a diference in marginal seats like Tunapuna, Mayaro, Sando West, etc.
In 1991 Dookeran in Chagunas lost to then unknown Hulsie even though he was fighting for the NAR, a party then in power with many resources of the state available to him. Now they requesting money from the public to help fight their campaign!
Unless COP voters realise that a vote for COP is really a vote for PNM (splitting the UNCA vote), voting for their conscience will only put PNM in power. And when Manning take control hope they can sleep at night with their conscience.

2 things about the above, first, in 1986 the combined votes of PNM & NAR in St Augustine was around 16K, so if in 2002 only 12K voted that mean there are 4K voters who didn't vote . Why yuh think that is ?
secondly, people with a conscience will never vote for Panday, that would be just as bad as voting for Manning.

One important thing - This is not 1986. In 1986 the country was on high for change. The concept of Unity drove alot of usually non-voters to come out and vote to get rid of the PNM who at the time were openly involved in corruption (all ah we tief) mentality.
A second consideration is the bickering between the COP and UNC-A is a far cry from convincing your fence sitters that voting will make a difference.
It's still early days yet in the campaign. And by the time the opposition parties come out with their sides of the story many a mind will change.

Agreed. But with the voracious appetite Panday has displayed in his quest for power, it is equally disturbing if he becomes PM. The majority of people are saying that he is the one standing in the way of unity, but he continues to hold on for dear life. I was glad to see a former Leadership Counsel member saying that exact thing. There was an agreement for Kamla to lead, but out of the blue Panday ups and jump in. No one on this forum can deny that if there is a united force with Dookeran, Kamla and Jack at the helm, it will walk away with the elections. The same can't be said for Dookeran, Panday and Jack.

That is something Panday needs to ask himself. If the COP has said they would consider an alliance without Panday and the majority of the population already tired of him, why would he stay?
Appoint Kamla in charge, step aside and let Kamla and Dooks talk it out and come to some sort of agreement. COP have support because the people tired of the same old UNC and PNM power hunger and want a change for the better. If Dooks just run back to the UNC then it's the same old thing.

CM103, Vaio:
Yes yes we know Panday is an obstacle for many though still admired by core supporters.
I am thinking about the country, party and representatives. Not just focusing on leader (Jack) or leader helper (Bas).
Do we want a new team that can bring new ideas for crime, cost of living, productive employment, etc or are happy to say I don't like that person so I will vote in a way that will surely put back an incompetant government.
If UNCA should win it would be the MP who gains the support of the majority of those in the lower house who will determine the PM. It does not have to be Panday because currently he is not even the leader of the UNCA. I'm not naive, I'm sure Panday will vie for the top job.
But if COP should unite and its members win seats in the house they can influence who the PM would be.
Panday is not going to be around for much longer. The opportunity for others to succeed him with a strong party, free from a maximum leader is not far away.
However splitting votes will only weaken the oppositions and strengthen the PNM.
