Why? Bec she lie to federal officials about taking the drugs.
Isnt there a principle of law against self incrimination?
Or was it something along the lines of perjury?
Did she lie DURING the investigations? Or in Court?

Liar, cheat, rip-off.
How many athletes worked their tail off to go to the Olympics and major championships, only to be beaten by a souped-up Marion? How many athletes lost their moment in the sun because this selfish piece of work hogged it with her decieving ways on the juice? Those moments are gone for those athletes, some may not have another shot at glory. The glory-hog took those moments, sullied them, then now has spit them out.
Good riddance to her, and her kind, from the sport.
Enjoy the slammer Marion!! Sport has no place for cheats!!!

The sad part about it is that many of the others in the sprints that year have also already been banned for taking substances to enhance their performance.
It is one reason that the gold has not been awarded to the second place finisher who is herself embroilded in a testing scandal.
It is almost impossible to tell in track and field (and many other sports) whether the athletes are 'clean' or not.

It's a shame about Marion. A lot od people looked up to her, kids looked up to her. The sad part is the woman had so much natural talent she just didn't believe that's all she'd need to win.
sad...but cheatin just does not pay.
Cheating does not pay especially where big money is earned, I doh feel sorry for her one bit.
