Selby Wilson - Point Fortin
Paula Gopee - Point Fortin

One I do not know, one I have not seen since the early '90s in Point Fortin. When Selby was asked by the TV6 lady, why return after so many years he said something like "de people of Point Fortin asked me blah blah blah..." What people? A handfull of former UNC business men and women is what he really meant. Endorsed by Vincent Lasse and Larry Achong... If you ask him and he deines that then he would be dishonest from the start.

Paula Gopee is younger, better looking (only because she is female) but I do not know her. Hopefully I'll get a proper feel  of her in the coming weeks.

Straying a lil bit..

Devant Maharaj — Couva South? ***FFFFFFFFF................Just imagine this fella being Minister of anything. Or in any ministry. What is the COP thinking? This man has never denied some of the "evil" words he was accused by more than one of uttering. No wonder when GOPIO lobbied for the National Library to be named in honour of Sir V.S Naipaul, Dookeran endorsed them, only to be exposed by the man himself. I would expect Dookeran was holding their shirt tails when they alleged discrimination of the ethnic composition in the Central Bank.

Gillian Lucky — St Joseph - I used to say put this woman on any ticket except UNC and I'd vote for her. She has a track record in politics that I admire but ..... Cyah get over that fella being on the slate. Eh even reach Hulsie and a few others yet..

Rocky Garcia get 1200 votes against Rowley under the citizen alliance ticket Rowley get 11000, he come back again for more licks?? What makes them feel he even getting close to that Rowley margin this time, Joe Pires don't know if this is the one that writes in the newspapers under the name BC.Pires but its some relation but where he going more licks, Nicole Dyer she never related to the grassroots of Diego and there are parts of D/Martin that is real grassroots so where she going also more licks.

Devant Maharaj I thought the COP dropped him since the last incident here he is again the Sat Marajah plant all the COP did was made him lie low and he is back in front once again to spew more of this racial nonsense with Hulise. Selby Wilson the most hated man by public servants back in the fray the VAT man, Dr Sharon—Ann Gopaul Mc Nichol loony bin what can I say, she says she is grassroots and into urban development right I can see her track record in that respect  Gary Griffith am a solider okkk, Marlene Coudray that one am sure PNM voters will deal with, her claim is look me am a pubic servant and I not afraid of Manning.

The rest in the mix well other than those that held their seats under a UNC ticket I don't know where they are going or if their chances are great against the PNM, so far all I seeing is PNM with a wide majority in this thing, and due to the dam pigheadedness of the UNC/COP we arse is grass once again so welcome to 5 more years of Manning and the boys

Don't be so negative child, the fight is not over until the last ballot is counted. Let me remind you ... a day in Politics is like a whole year. PNM will win the election but they will NOT get the special majority they want and they will have a bigger opposition to deal with.

KEEP THE FAITH!

I just hope the COP screening committe asked Hulsie how she would handle a disagreement with the political leader.

...and, I too have reservations about Devant Maharaj.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is PNM the only "Party" sending up a clean slate? When I say clean slate, I mean candidates that have not lost before.

:? Fitzroy Beache - Point Fortin has to be the joke of the weekend. Coming to think of it, it not really funny. I have heard he is a deportee, which means he broke some law abroad.

Does anybody know how the UNC and COP screen?

I looked at all the candidates and I must say that COP has the best line up there is to find! The sad part is that the same people who cry down the choices of the PNM saying 'I eh go vote for she in Grande! And we back we Hart' wil panic on election day and go and vote for the PNM! The 'Crapaud' mentality stil exists! That is why we in this sad state in this country! I am not a UNC/PNM/COP till I dead I have to look and see who is the best person to run this country and there are to many good people in COP. I am voting in Caroni East and Ganga has my vote. Hulsie has a Masters in Management, Wendy is an Agri Specialist, Carolyn was the chairman of NP, Winston was the Governor of Central Bank, Yetming is a Chinee and you know how them could make a dollar work! Roy Agustus and the other man was in Police and them is serious man. Gillian is one of the best lawyers it have together with Anand and Prakash! What more you want! And none of them have a bad record! This is the kind of people I want to see in power they have integrity, that is why when the UNC wanted 'yesmen' they left. These are people who stand up for what they believe in! Not the PNM who hide under some farcical 'Democratic' Process! Look at what happened to Achong and Valley! Democracy my foot. The majority of party groups wanted them in yet the were rejected and DIANNE SOOKARAN go atand up and tell me that the people choose the Reps! PHULEESE!!!! It have so many things wrong here it not funny. Jus go out there and make the chage for better.

Not only that but he is barely literate. It is amazing how all the anti-smelter proponents seem to be lodged in both the COP and UNC. Hmmmmm...

Point Fortin - Paula Gopee (PNM) Selby Wilson (COP) Fitzroy Beache (UNCA )

Paula - I don't know

Selby - lost down here before

Fitzroy - a non-starter.

The battle down here is between PNM and COP. But I believe the PNM will win it comfortably

the one PNM candidate that i can vouch for is karen nunez-tesheira, and i'm sure she'll do a great job representing her constituency. maybe if there were more people of her calibre in the party, i would feel assured that there is hope for t&t, despite its corrupt and dictatorial leadership.

but unfortunately the pnm is like a cancer and will destroy anything it touches.
