oh, good lord! This is a horrible, disgusting story. Them nurses in public hospitals are d worse, they love to tell patietns all kinda nasty things if u not married, or u are a teenage mother. And of course they still tell u crap even if u married and not a teenage eh. My neice had her baby at mt hope june last year, they told her she not pushin enough and it will be her fault if d baby dies. My neice was in tears but she held on to whatever strenght she had and pushed d baby out. She said she is never goin back to a public hospital again, and told me not to either. This is not the only story I KNOW of.

As I was listening to the story of that teenager, I was thinking...
We can blame the hospital, we can blame the lack of equipment, we can blame the fact that public hospitals are understaffed, etc
But really...
WHAT KIND OF MONSTERS/SOULLESS people we have in our midst who will treat ANOTHER human being in the way this teenage and her unborn baby were treated?
Beyond comprehension to me...

I think that the Doctors and Nurses have lost the caring side of them when dealing with people's lives :(

Irregardless of the age of the girl, this is really atrocious and appalling. These nurses still have a job to do and they should not have done this to the girl. What is going on with the health sector of Trinidad and Tobago? I believe once these nurses are found to be negligent and abdicating their respective duties, they should be disciplined accordingly or due to severity of the case consequent dismissal.

Sola, I beleive the nurses or doctor is suppose to report it to the police if a teenager has a baby in d hospital. Not 100% sure doh. But if they don't report thr police wont know.

My God, is this for real? Push the baby out, dead baby being poked with a pen, ants covering baby...
That nurse should be charged and put away. My prayers are with the mother & baby.

The body of the baby was cremated without the family's permission. Someone should have to be accountable for this.

The child age (which is a separate topic) does not exempt her from receiving proper care..This could have been anyone..15 or 35

Disgusting.
The thing is, if this was ANY other country, the doctors would have been suspended right away. It is the correct procedure. I don't know why they're acting up that way when a PERSON DIED because of negligence.

Doctors are wrong & strong. Should doctors (being an essential service) even be allowed to strike?

All essential services(drs, nurses, police etc) are not supposed to strike, I believe it's "illegal". Correct me if I'm wrong. These doctors seem to be trying to delfect the real issue here which is the death of this woman. Why they so boy? That's real nasty.
