Ladies and Gnetlemen:
This topic is not directed at anyone personally because personal attacks are the province of those who are devoid of the ability to SLICE AND DICE the Topic Intelligently.

The idea behind this Topic is to determine why do people think of other people as " stupid" and what in reality really qualifies an action or thought to be described as " stupid"...

have you ever dome " Stupid things "in your life which hurt you or loved ones or you may have been fortunate to have gotten away with your " stupid" actions ?

I will tell you this: HONESTY IS ALWAYS THE BASIS OF WISDOM AND LIES ARE ALWAYS THE BASIS OF STUPIDITY.

forest Gump said: " Stupid is as Stupid does". comments please.

What are the things which the PNM and the UNC,UNCA,ONR,ULF,NAR may or may not have done which can be qualified as " stupid"....????
Am I " being stupid " to expect some of you folks not to " act stupid and biased in your replies but expect that you folks shall intelligently slice and dice the topic without the FALCON having to swoop down????""""

Is there a TARGET for this one?

Yes....the TOPIC asks the question ...what is stupidity ?
The Sub target asks ...if you can define stupidity then how does it apply to Economic and political decisions and directly to your life as a person.

The hope is that having given the Topic due thought and looking honestly at our very own lives and the stupid things which we oursleves have done then we may surely be far less inclined to call other people stupid.

Au Contraire. The topic of the Thread clearly states; DEFINE STUPIDITY IN POLITICS,LIFE AND ECONOMICS. That, to me, is THE TARGET - a definition. There is no question there, just a solicitation for a definition of STUPIDITY in POLITICS, in LIFE, and in ECONOMICS - unless of course, you wish to change it, otherwise, THE TARGET REMAINS !!!. Let us know what you decide.

Yep.

Tell me what you think the word stupid is but don't be stupid while you are doing it. In other words, while you are telling me what you think stupidity is, I will decide whether you are being stupid.

The TARGET goes around in circles.

In terms of forum posts, overuse of capital letters, exclamation marks and question marks generally qualify as one of the first signs of stupidity in my opinion.

It reflects an inability to get a point across without being loud, obnoxious and overbearing. And people generally resort to those tactics when their actual point lacks content or merit.

Case in point: Compare this post (http://www.ttonline.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=32638#p32638) to its immediate reply.

I feel sorry for people like Sirius. I really do. When I see what he encounters on this forum on a regular basis, I understand why books like Atlas Shrugged are so well-loved. And that's scary.
