Well these are unregistered vehicles with D plates? They will end up cut up for parts with a crooked dealer, or with fake registrations from crooked licencing officers and then sold on by a crooked dealer... In either case, these things are theoretically easy to trace since we are on an island... Yet I don't see too many crooked dealers or licencing officers in jail, so unsurprisingly the car racket continues...

We kinda know who the crooked dealers are. If the police were interested in tackling crime, they would find a few stolen cars to trace, work their way back to the dealers. With about half a dozen in jail the message would be understood: it is not a good idea to deal in stolen cars. With no demand, the kids who steal these things to order will have nothing better to do than go back to playing marbles in their school yard.

Same thing with guns, drugs, ghost gangs, etc... Lock up a few of the big boys, and the army of criminals who do their bidding will have no market.

So to tackle crime, no need for states of emergency, house to house searches, hangings on public squares, more police and more police cars, etc... Just cut off the supply and demand at the extremities. Simple really - we are on a small island... About a dozen dedicated policemen and a couple of special judges, reporting to no one but the top and free from interference, could make a huge impact. The fact that it has not happened demonstrates that there is no political will (on either side) to address the issue.

Would you use that same logic to justify your son getting involve in criminal activity. There are lots of teenagers doing drugs, and getting pregnant all over the world, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to those of us who think like you, if our children indulge in ah likkle cocaine,of marijuana. My problem is that Trinis in Triniland don't know how to stand up for themselves. They allow every Gov't except for the NAR to lead dem by dey noses, and instead of realizing that the Gov't work for them, they believe they work for the Gov't. Dais why they always making excuses for the gross incompetence. Dey fraid dey "Boss" fire dem.

And they send the money back home and build house. There is no shame in making an honest living. Maybe if some of those TRINIS in TRINDAD would get up of they ass and change some old people's pampers,and wipe some children's asses, instead of making babies for these no good men, and selling drugs,and guns maybe the crime rate would decrease tremendously. This is exactly the kind of narrow-mindedness that have T&T in the state it's in. And let me tell you something my friend, WHOPPI GOLDBERG, AND TYLER PERRY, were on welfare, OPRAH WINFREY was abused as a child by a relative, and had a bad childhood. Look where they are today. Foreigners come down to Trinidad and remark at how the capital city is littered with grabage; you have a whole bunch of people out of work, but do you think anyone of them will push a broom (like you see overhere); heck no...... Most manufacturers these days recommend changing the oil every 7,500 miles or so for light duty use and around 3,000 miles for heavy duty use. What is generally not as well known, is that certain car makers also specify the synthetic oil be used otherwise the vehicle’s warranty will be voided. This includes Corvette and Porsche.

Oil intervals have gotten longer over the years and oils have improved. But still, if you are interested in a clean engine and want it to last, keep oil intervals short. You just can't go wrong following this conventional wisdom.
