These are the same people who does complain about how the police not doing there jobs and that they or all victims of crime and the police harrassment, yet because of ignorance, belligerance, hatred of any kind of authority and naked fear they are not doing a thing to help themselves.
It's so frustrating to read this article today in the Express where no one wanted to comment on what had happened.

Small Salim dead....well, I'm sorry for his family, and concerned that the murderer was so bold face to just walk up to him and shoot him in his head like that....I won't lose no sleep over S.S's demise though....you know what happens when you live by the proverbial sword ;)

An eye for an eye eh?? Well you are correct Scorps he lived a life of crime and now he died as a result of his connection to it, pity that not happening to all the evil people around eh? But where will it end? After all we are all supposed to be connected by just 6 degrees of separation right? so if paul kill fred, fred's family or friends have a right to come after pauls' friends and family too not so? Pretty soon all ah we go get wiped out cause all ah we know somebody who know somebody who related to someone else.
Remember some folks die because they were mistaken for others too so ah hope for most of our sakes we doh look like no one who shot call or happen to be visiting them on a day these same people marked for death. Life's a bitch and then u die.
Just remember an eye for an eye eventually leaves the whole world blind

Any murder, no matter who the victim is, is senseless. Yes, this man did commit a lot of crimes, but I would have preferred that he be in jail under lock and key, for the rest of his life. I would never wish death upon anyone, but I will not lose any sleep over his demise either. He died because of the way he chose to live his life. It happens everyday now. Gang member killing gang member, reprisal killings, etc. Anyway, he had family who loved him, so my condolences to them. Happy New Year everyone :D

You would prefer to see him in Jail? Nah man, he is where he belong .. where he can never hurt, plot to kill or kill anyone again.
As for family who supposedly loved him, how can it be loved when when yuh sit by idly and allow him to live a life of crime so you can enjoy the spoils. Nah man, they loved the spoils .. not him!

Where de police patrols? oh right there aren't any. Maybe if the volunteer army and police who were actually paid to do their wuk could have prevented this particular blatant murder by their prescence. We will never know now.
JASON 'IKEY' HOYTE gathered with family and friends to celebrate the baptism of his three-year-old niece, but by yesterday morning, the scenes turned from joy to sorrow as Hoyte was fatally shot by a childhood friend in full view of his relatives.
At around 11:40 p.m. Sunday, Hoyte, 25, of Malabar, Arima was at his niece's christening on Loverson Street, Aranjuez when he was approached by a man who owed Hoyte several thousand dollars.
Hoyte had been asking for the money so he could buy a car, relatives said. The man attempted to call Hoyte aside but he refused and the man, said to be a longtime friend, became agitated.
"He say: 'Wham? Like you screwing on me or what?'" said an eye-witness as she described the scene. "The man, then grabbed Hoyte and jacked him against a nearby tree.
"He tell Jason to lie down, a nd Jason say no, so he (the shooter) tell he friend to hand him 'it'," said the witness. The man received a gun from one of the two men flanking him, aimed at Hoyte and pulled the trigger.
No shot went off. "Jason was still there thinking, this is my friend, he not going and shoot me, not here in front of all these people" the witness added.
The man squeezed again, this time, Hoyte was struck in chest.
The stunned Hoyte took off, jumping a nearby wall and drain attempting to escape the shooter who pursued him, continuously firing, the witness said.
Hoyte, a father of one, was later found near the Priority Bus Route, bleeding heavily with several gunshot wounds about the body. One of the bullets which stuck his right thigh, shattered his house keys in his right front trouser pocket.
Hoyte was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital where he died at around 3 a.m.
The shooter, said to be affiliated with a notorious Port of Spain gang, was said to have returned to the scene later but fled when he saw the police.
No one has been held in connection with the shooting up to yesterday evening.
