Whoever you are, whatever the profession you pursue, to fulfill the needs of your creative and material self and wherever you may be on this many-splendoured planet, there is, embedded within you, a seeker. This seeker, or sadhak, as the ancient Indian scriptures would call him, is forever in search of that Divine Perfection, that Inner Light which casts no shadow. He is in search of the lasting peace, which comes to stay only when you establish contact with the Source, with that Supreme Energy of the Universe, whatever the name, form, or faith you choose ...

That is why, often enough, in spite of having all the comforts and perks the world can offer in the name of success, a sensitive individual continues to feel a vague discontent, an unease he cannot decipher, an intuitive certainty that something very significant is still missing from his packed itinerary, that his colorful life still lacks one vital component. He also does not know where, or how, he can find it…..

This is where ‘Bhajan Maharishi’ HARI OM SHARAN comes in…By providing that missing link, that invaluable medium that connects you instantly, effortlessly with your deepest Self, call it God, or just the Blemishless, Absolute Truth! Every bhajan written, composed and rendered by this amazing artiste is such a perfect blend of emotional depth, haunting melody and aesthetic form, that it is bound to find a permanent nest in your heart. Gifted with a soulful voice and adorned with an enchanting humility, when Hari Om Ji sings of the devotee’s yearning for his, or her, favorite deity, you fly away immediately, from the chaos and cacophony of modern living, to a very private world…. where there is room only for Sublime and Selfless Love…. room only for your Beloved Lord and you…

Internationally acclaimed for over 40 taped cassettes and CDs of immortal bhajans, the very name ‘Hari Om Sharan’ inspires reverence in millions of fans - age, caste, class no bar- from all over the globe. Not only for the matchless 2,500-plus lyrics that have flowed from his spiritual genius, but also because he is the first and (perhaps) only singer who made bhakti-sangeet (the genre of singing bhajans, or devotional songs) ‘concert-worthy’ in an age of mounting cynicism and depleting faith! What is more, he and his velvet-voiced wife Nandini, have also managed to draw full houses the world over and had audiences pleading for more, without straying into more popular forms like ghazals , geets, or film songs.

Winner of the ‘Sangeet Peeth Raseshwar Award’ from the prestigious ‘Sur-Singar-Sansad’ of Mumbai, India and honoured with a Gold Disc for unprecedented sales of his timeless music from HMV, what is most touching and inspiring about Hari Om Sharan is the fact that he has remained simple, guileless and totally untouched by the worldwide glory and fame his natural talent and ardent devotion have brought him.

Whether it was finding his Guru in Swami Hari Giriji Maharaj in the Himalayas;or meeting his talented wife and singing-partner Nandini in British Guyana; training under Pandit Amarnathji and Swami Darshanandji; or feverishly penning lyrics and coining their music in the middle of the night; ‘reincarnating’ the hymns of Kabir, Tulsidas and Meerabai or creating immortal chants himself; performing more to raise funds for a spiritual cause than for personal gain… every milestone in the incredible journey of bhajan maestro Hari Om Sharan has not only added a wealth of meaning to his life and made him the very special human being that he is, it has also illuminated ours, for whenever you listen to him, or hum, any of his evergreen bhajans, you get one step closer to your own personal god, your own Real Self!

Hari Om Sharan and Nandini were both at the Shiva Temple in Ft Lauderdale only about two months ago. It was a blessing to have his darshan. He did not sing or speak, but Nandini shared all her joyful experiences with him. She said he married her, a Guayanese, but his heart was always in Trinidad. The first time he landed in Trinidad, he was surprised to know people in Trinidad knew him, when an employee at Piarco shouted our Hari Om Sharan and hugged him.
