The San Fernando Central Government Secondary School — Mod-Sec — produced six scholarship winners this year. It's achievement made it one of two State-run schools that bested even Queen's Royal College in Port of Spain.

Caring teachers who have a good relationship with pupils contributed to the successes in the recent Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE), school principal Farial Ali has said.
