Hey guys, heads up we are having two big gatherings for T&T Tech.

First up is Flow's World @ the Hyatt on September 18th (9 a.m. – 9 p.m.) and 19th (noon – 7 p.m).

Highlights:

GATT is hosting a gaming competition on Sunday, begins @4pm
Demos of new HD and 3D (!) options from Flow
Guests Shaka Hislop of ESPN, and Joey Stevens with his parrot of the Weather Channel in attendance
‘Doki’ from Discovery Kids
Various door prizes

Also, there's the T&T Computer Society (TTCS) Software Freedom Day @ Trincity Mall, on September 18th, 10am to 5pm.

Free and Open Source Software for Windows included on our TTCS OSSWIN CD
demoing Ubuntu, a popular linux-based operating system bundled with many applications.
Ushahidi crowd-sourcing system to track/monitor incidents/disasters in Trinidad & Tobago
Booth visitors will get both the TTCS OSSWIN CD and Ubuntu CDs while stocks last.

That's right, FREE software CDs available at that event. The only sketchy thing is Trincity's car park, and the reputation they have for cars being stolen.

Did you guys demo the integrated Ubuntu One Cloud Storage feature and the integrated Social Networking software? That's now become a big part of the Ubuntu experience.
